I remember when we used to have Level List Games at the Lemmingswelt Forums, well I'm here to create a new one! The rules:

1. The same pack cannot be done more than once.

2. You cannot review one of your own levels.

3. You cannot do two or more levelpacks by the same author in a row.

4. The same person cannot review two levels in a row (that includes across packs!).

Here is the format:
<level picture here>
Level #: Name of level
Lemmings: # of lemmings in the level
Lemmings Needed: # of lemmings needed to go in the exit
Release Rate: The minimum release rate of that level
Time Limit: # of minutes in the level
Skills: # of each skill in the level

Good: Is there anything goog about the level? Type it here?

Bad: How about something bad? Type your thoughts here!

Let's start off with QBeez01 pack.

Actually there is already a thread for this (I suggest that these two topics should be merged into one): http://lemmings.isamedia.org/index.php?topic=44.0
And here's the predecessor to that one: http://it.travisbsd.org/lemmings/lemmingswelt/forums/?topic=1114567084

Can't remember you from the LemmingsWelt Forum, QBeez, under what nick have you been registered there?

I guess that thread will get stuck half-way anyways.

Quietly accepting your brazen decision and starting off with the first level...

QBeez01 Level 1: Sitting Ducks
[insert some picture here]
Save 99/100 (99%)
RR 85, 3 minutes
1 bomber, blocker, miner; 8 builders
Good: Quite like the simplistic design; it's not that long...
Bad: ...yet it's still quite long and too straightforward; hidden traps are no good.
Glad Lemmix has a replay feature and fast forward.

And note that levels with over 80 lemmings won't be playable in CustLemm...

QBeez

These are just my first levels, the later ones are a bit harder... Also, this is now a Lemmix level list game. Lemmix levels only! The other one is for CustLemm levels only. Also, when I was unregistered, I liked viewing the original CustLemm Level List Game at Lemmingswelt.

EDIT: Just finished "Sockhead", a harder version of "Gulp the Lemmings" on my second pack.

EDIT 2: Finished QBeez03 levelpack! Find it at the Lemmings File Archive!

^ agree about the hidden traps. Personally, I look for the trigger areas before I play the level because I don't like nasty surprises, but it would be nice if the trap was at least partly visible.

By the way, I just tried this level in custlemm... what a mess  :XD: Everything was out of alignment (to avoid this you need to make the screen start a multiple of 8 - easy enough to fix) and it locked up after the 80th lemming! Just a few things to remember when you are making levels - Lemmix runs in a sort of "debug" mode

QBeez

I'm reviving this. Who will do "Preactor of the Plains"?

Exactly.  That's why I dislike doing 100% runs on the easy version of Compression Method 1 (what was it called, Easy if you Know How?).  You can't see the traps.

Let's hope this manages to catch on, considering, QBeez, you bumped it.  I did not even know this topic existed.

Clam

Welcome back QBeez!

Since I killed this thread (or at the very least contributed to its death), I guess it's up to me to continue it now. I'll even post a pic of the level :)

QBeez01 level 2 - Preactor of the Plains

Lemmings - 100
Required - 99 (99%)
RR - 99
Time - 2 minutes
Skills - 1 climber, 1 builder, 1 basher, 1 miner

Good - Simple design, nice and short with a simple solution.
Bad - Again, won't work too well in Custlemm. Also has a bit of the "random terrain pieces" look about it.

Now let's get through this pack so we can move on to mine :P

Dullstar

I don't see anything on the rules list about having to finish a pack to move onto another.  If I'm mistaken, those rules need clarification. :P

QBeez

We must finish packs to move onto others.

Dullstar

Oh.  Sorry about that misunderstanding.

Clam

Well then, go ahead and do a review! As per rule #4 I cant do another one right now.

Dullstar

I have reviewed The Pharaoh's Tomb, or something like that.  Either way, it's number 3, the one after Preactor of the Plains.

I don't know Lemmings Archive views on hotlinking, so I'm not going to post the image, but will post a link to it.

The Pharaoh's Tomb
Lemmings: 50
To Save: 50 (100%)
Time: 1 min
Skills - 2 builder, 2 diggers, 1 basher
Good:  Clever idea, original levels, different stats.
Bad:  Time is very tight.  Also, it is rather annoying since the only way I know to run it in Lemmix is to go to the editor and use Play this Level, which gets me no sound and no music.  Is there a Lemmix Player for user-made levels?

Clam

There is a Lemmix player for the original levels that has sounds. I'm not sure about custom levels though. And I don't see why Mindless would provide these images if he didn't want anyone to see them :)

Next level!
QBeez01 level 4 - Downtown Lemmingopolis

Lemmings - 100
Required - 97 (97%)
RR - 1
Time - 2 minutes
Skills - 1 floater, 1 bomber, 1 blocker, 5 builders, 1 miner, 2 diggers
Good - A new take on a level that has been done many times before. You can choose to do it with or without the blocker. Tight requirements but not too restrictive.
Bad - Lack of 100% possibility is a tad annoying. 100 lemmings is probably too many when most of them do nothing but walk.

Dullstar

True.  I'd like to know what QBeez would think if I edit all is levels with more than 80 lemmings to make them playable in custlemm.  Onto the next review...

Well, you could change all the 100-lemming levels to 80 lemmings and create a new pack. A good name would be QBeezCL01, with the CL standing for CustLemm, indicating that all levels in the pack are playable in CustLemm.
