I've seen the full PC version of the somewhat obscure Lemmings game, The Adventures of Lomax, for download at several places, all of which are either in other languages or no longer active. I'm fairly sure it's abandonware, but I've done a lot of searching, and can't find any places to download the full version (not the demo) of Lomax in English. If anyone can show me a place to download it, I'd really appreciate it. I don't care how long the download takes as long as it's in English. Though if there's nowhere on the Internet currently it can be downloaded, I'll just order it on Amazon.

Just had a quick look for it and it doesn't appear to be abandonware, sorry.

You can buy it here: http://www.cdaccess.com/html/quick/lomaxpr.htm

Or pay to download it here (not that this place looks particularly legal): http://free-game-downloads.mosw.com/abandonware/pc/arcade_action/games_al/adventures_of_lomax.html

If you have a BitTorrent client and a Playstation emulator you could try this, although it of course isn't legal if that bothers you: http://www.mininova.org/tor/408597

EDIT: scratch the top one. Just realised you said it's available on Amazon, and having had a look it's on the UK one for ̣0.02.

I tried the torrent... Seemed to be dead, somehow. And Megaritz, I've been looking for this game too and found nothing... Not even foreign stuff.

Okay, I've had no luck at all finding the DOS version, but I do now have the Playstation one. Unfortunately the version I downloaded needed a little modifying so I won't bother giving a link to it, but instead I've created a torrent that I will share if you PM me your email address.

I don't have a PS1 emulator installed at the moment so haven't actually tested it myself, but by all accounts it should work.

Failing that, buy it on Amazon. It's absurdly cheap. :P

The windows version can be acquired (with, erm, questionable legality) from here.
Just remember that 't?ʬ?ʣharger' is French for 'download'.

By the way, I put together a password generator for Lomax a while back, after analyzing an FAQ on the subject. Feel free to check it out.

Megaritz

WNivek, not that I care much about the storyline, but is that version of the game in French or English? As I'm mainly planning to play this for the sake of a sense of completion (playing the whole series, including the spin-offs), I'd probably prefer to play it in English.

The Lemmings Encyclopedia

I just downloaded it, it's four languages, including English.

You are missing the CD audio though.

Does that mean the music and/or sound effects are missing?

WNivek

music is, yeah.

however, if you have the PS1 version, you can have that in the drive and the PC version will use music from there.

... probably not too useful a trick, given the circumstances, but maybe it was worth mentioning.

Mr. K

The game isn't that great anyway, it seems...

I got through Paintball and actually enjoyed it, and I doubt this is worse.

Well, I think I'll just order it. Thanks anyway guys.

Mr. K

Paintball is actually pretty fun, I thought. But this... ugh...

You can get the French version of Lomax here.
I like dragons! They're the center of my life! I'll never forget them...
