What is the complete size of a level in Lemmings for the Amiga?

Mindless' php level mapper gizmo returns 1584 x 160 images, but I'm sure that misses off some of the pixels in the wider levels... (esp. Rendezvous at the Mountain)

The widest image in evaarties' The Lemmings Solution is 1600 x 160 which would make more sense...

Well it varies somewhat from port to port.  I believe in the PC-DOS version, they limit how far you can scroll the screen, such that the visible range would be 1584 pixels.  It appears that the Amiga version actually allows scrolling to 1600 pixels, or that maybe that's how much they display in the level preview and/or mini-map.

From disassembling the PC-DOS version, it actually appears that internally they kept a playfield of possibly up to 1664 pixels horizontally, though the far left and far right regions may not be use normally but instead help with scrolling and clipping.  1600 is probably the best value to use for your purposes.

Aha... that explains a lot. Cheers, man. ;)

I've added an option for choosing DOS width, 1600 is now the default.
