I reworked these logos a while back. I personally prefer them for the original games.

I like SuperLemmix, but I do prefer the Black background. Not a fan of the Amiga blue.

Yeah, I know. I prefer my de-stretchified versions tbh. Those will be standard for the included packs, but feel free to mod your own copy if you like.

Thanks! It's been a lot of fun working on it so far.

I find the Amiga blue is a bit warmer on the eyes than the black, which I find a bit stark. Proxima and I are working on some new revised background colours for each of the default styles, with each having slightly different tones. If successful, these will make it into a future release. For now though, Amiga blue is the standard for SuperLemmix.

FWIW, it's an easy fix if you want to change the defaults back to a black background. Go to styles/orig_[whichever] and find the theme.nxtm file. Open it in a text editor, and change BACKGROUND x000030 to BACKGROUND x000000 to revert to a black background for that style.

If you want to do it for all styles, you can use the Find in Files feature in Notepad++ to quickly change the background for every .nxtm in the SuperLemmix folder. Be aware that you can't undo changes that you make using this feature though, so be careful to make sure you've inputted everything correctly. It should look like this:

I added a complete set of logos to my previous post above.

Split this into a new topic for custom graphics sharing for SuperLemmix.

Note that SuperLemmix already includes logo graphics for all of the packs it ships with, but jkapp's can be used if you prefer the "stretched" logos.

Would it be worth the time to (un-stretch) the higher res logos to match yours?

Definitely

Here's the six main ones. (and easiest ones)
The files names will need to be changed to "logo.png" to work.

The logos look great. Thanks for these, Jeremy. I'll include them with the next release :)

I'm not sure if this is helpful or not, but here's a set of panel icons I made for Super Lemmini a while back. They actually used a version of these I made for their xmas icons.

I can mod them if needed, or maybe they're not usable for what you have planned.

But, if you can use these in any way, go for it.

Here's a quick image to compare what 2X resolution Lemming graphics could look like.

This was done automatically by Topaz Gigapixel AI, set to 2X enhance.

Yeah, this looks pretty good  I'm a big fan of upscalers in general, they can work wonders. I've always loved the results of NL's upscaling algorithm, I've used it for a few different projects (the Lemminas style in Superlemmini uses it, for example). One thing that would be very useful is a 150% upscaler; I'm not sure if one exists, I haven't been able to find one anyway.

Would this be 4x resolution, then? (i.e. if you've scaled up the hi-res sprites? Maybe I've misunderstood what's been done here).

Either way, whilst auto-generating the sprites through an art scaler like this is a tempting prospect, the subtlest of colour differences would mess up the spriteset recolouring functionality (required for neutrals, zombies, selected lems and alternate recolourings). It could absolutely work for a brand new standalone engine, though.

(Also, notice the colour of the lemming's back leg in the top frame; graphical aliasing like this would need to be manually edited.)

With that said, I've seriously considered the possibility of making the engine hi-res only and if I was to ever go down that route, it's very likely that I'd look at improving some of the graphics.

Here's the walker sprite run through NL's upscaler. The results are great, and maintain the colours.

If I ever decided to take on making SLX a full hi-res-only engine, it may be worth taking it to 4x as the base size. This is a big, fluffy IF, though. Do not watch this space for me doing anything about it anytime soon.

jkapp76

Yes, I doubled the Hi-Res images so they'd be 4x.

Yours look even better. I did mine quick just to amuse myself.

I personally would never use low-res options unless I have to.
