Silken Healer

Silken Healer

Santa 6 replay is attached in the post.

Santa 6 notes: This level was significantly easier compared to yesterdays level, which I just realized I'm gonna have to complete that to get that bonus level :lem-mindblown: . Other than that just a standard, fun level

Yeah didn't manage to beat level 5 :(

Hint if you need it

The trick is to keep the crowd moving rather than sending out a worker: use all the skills that you can, and watch what Swimmers are able to do!

Awesome replays so far everyone! Whilst there aren't intended solutions for a lot of these earlier levels, the replays show that the spirit of the level is intact throughout your solutions, so this is very gratifying to see

@Silken - It's great to see your different approaches to these levels, I like that you're seeing the multiple ways of solving them. Keep going with Elfabet Soup, you're more than capable of beating it.

@Simon and @Apjjm - Your solutions to Elfabet Soup are exactly in the spirit of the level as it's intended to be played, it was super fun to watch this.

Thanks WillLem. I am considering accepting hints soon due to that making it more fun and getting it done by Christmas, but I wanna keep on trying without hints for a bit longer first. As I'm writing this I've got there a minute late but with enough lems for the first time. I haven't tired all my solutions yet and I've got there close to the time limit / lem required amount multiple times so I know I am getting close. Did anyone else struggle with Elfabet Soup or just me?

Silken Healer

OMG I solved it! I didn't get the talisman, 100% with cloners and it kinda felt like a backroute but oh well at least I solved it! Let me know what you thought of my replay WillLem? Was it a backroute or not?

Haha, a backroute for sure ;P I was wondering if anyone would do that. It's impossible to get the talisman that way, but it does solve the level.

Oh well, at least I solved it. Maybe I can come back to it and try and get 100% with cloners + talisman one day

Apjjm

I have attached my solution to level 6 & 7 - will update this post with the next 5 days of replays.

Spoiler

6: I realised I could solve this one without collecting the pick-up skill - so this may not be quite in the spirit of the level!

Thanks for the feedback!

Race Against The Race Against Clichés

This feels as if has to be one of these: Either it's a glaring backroute because I don't bash through the one-way pillar and the bashing is intended, or it's exactly the intended solution and the one-way arrows are a lovely red herring.

Out of these two, I believe it's the intended way because I didn't find a solution with bashing the one-way that still finishes in time.

Apjjm: Edmund Highlemming

WillLem put an icicle trap at the bottom where you come out of the fat mountain. This makes your route look like a second intended solution. But who am I to judge.

Is with Say it's ain't snow what you see is what you get or are there some hidden tricks?

Silken Healer

Say It Ain't Snow
Initially I thought this level was going to be an evil one like Elfabet Soup (hence finishing it today and not yesterday) but I noticed if you assign them miners on the first frame they're assignable then they don't collide paths. So I counted the amount of frames between them and assigned them accordingly and it worked! Clever level WillLem! :lemcat:

We All Fall Down I
Standard we all fall down style level (apart from the fact that I could send 2 lems at once), that gave me no problems at all :lemcat: . Even managed to unintentionally get a lem on the starting platform but to the right of the trap :lem-mindblown:

Race Against The Race Against Cliches
At first I kept on running out of time at the end, but then I realized I was overthinking it and you can just make both of them climbers and floaters! I think I got in the habit of always associating OWA's with the Keep Your Hair On Mr. Lemming solution!

Simon

We All Fall Down I: The solving replay and the Python script that I wrote to generate the replay because I was lazy. :P
