Colorful Arty

5 years ago on February 14th, I decided to record and upload the beginning of a playthrough of Lemmings on SuperLemmini for my second ever Let's Play in honor of the 25th anniversary of Lemmings. Little did I know that that decision would have such a dramatic impact on my life.

A forumer who shall remain nameless (but it was IchoTolot) found my playthrough and invited me to the Lemmings Forums. I decided to check it out and found a bunch of cool people who all loved this classic puzzle game too. This was the first online community I ever was a part of, and it opened so many doors for me, and now I've seen how the internet can truly bring people together.

I want to say to everyone that I've met on here; I'm glad to have joined this forum and met/interacted with all of you! This little decision has made a large difference in my life, and even if I don't spend much time with Lemmings-related things anymore, without this community, it is unlikely I ever would have been involved seriosuly with online communities in general, and it's possible I never would have started streaming. Keep being awesome everyone. ;)

Actually, this forums is the first and only gaming community I became a part of as well. But I'm glad I did. I enjoyed meeting everyone even though I was really nervous when I first joined. And playing Among Us for the first time with y'all was a great experience. Though funny story Arty before our first Among Us session I saw you sitting in the brick room on the discord waiting for people to join and it took me forever to work up the courage to actually join it because I'm actually going to be interacting with you and other forums people for the first time voice to voice. Then I remember joining, then you didn't say anything and I was awkwardly sitting there.. then other people joined and y'all starting talking and I'm just sitting there like. OMG what do I say?! :crylaugh:

I was in several online communities before/during this one but I'll agree with Arty; this one has some really cool and calm and understanding people, which really makes things better. At the end of this year will be my 10th anniversary!! :scared:
My oldest posts are finding glitches in Lemmings Revolution. Then discussing the lix community levelpack.

whats really good about this community is its small size. I say that because ive seen so many online groups starting off small and fun then getting huge and then drama happens and then groups split off etc.  yes we occasionally have drama but its very mild mostly civilised drama which in the social media world is  a pleasant change.

Also 'meeting' IT people like Namida has truly been a joy because y'all have endless patience for someone like me who really enjoys creative stuff but has no technical abilities so I've still been able to try my hand at custom levels.
