Whoops.

Anyways, here's a question:

The 6th to last level of Lemmings and the 6th to last level of Oh No! More Lemmings have a rather interesting quality in common. What is it?

I guess it's the fact that they both have a time limit of 1 minute :)

6th to last are Mayhem 25 and Havoc 15. That was a good one, they do have something in common. ;)

LemSteven

Mayhem 25: "Have a nice day"
Havoc 15: "Have an ice day"

Their titles are almost exactly the same.

Q: Name one of the two levels in the original Lemmings in which it is not possible in any way to exhaust your skill supply.

ccexplore

Fun 22: Nightmare on Lem Street.  You have 20 climbers & floaters but only 2 lemmings.

Don't know the other one.

Question: name all five 1-minute levels in Lemmings

(sorry but I'm out of inspiration at this moment)

Ok now I remember the other one (hint: study of lemmings), although I still have to check to ascetain that the number of climbers/floaters given exceeds the number of lemmings.

Just a Minute
Just a Minute (Part Two)
All or Nothing
It's hero time
The Crossroads

Q: Name all five Lemmings (Amiga) levels that can be passed with just one usage of a skill.

chaos_defrost

Let's see. Assuming you don't count the bugged WAFD levels...

Just Dig (Fun 1)
Fun 2 (forgot the name. Floater skill tutorial)
Not as complicated as it looks (Fun 8)
As long as you try your best (Fun 9)
Smile if you love Lemmings (Fun 10, use digger and RR change)

You still haven't learned to set a new question when you answer an old one.  :P

And although you got the numbers of the five levels right, I asked for the names, so as your punishment for not setting a new question, if anyone else can fill in the missing name of Fun 2 before you get to it, they can take over!

You know, I'm not sure if Insane Steve really considers that as punishment. ;)

Anyhow, name of Fun 2 is "Only Floaters can Survive This".

Ok, my question:

In (Amiga) Lemmings, there are 3 pairs of consecutive levels with the following properties:

1) Both levels in the pair are in the same rating.
2) Both levels in the pair are repeated in the same later (harder) rating.
3) The repeats themselves are consecutive levels, in the same order.

Name one such pair (I'm being kind ;)), identifying names of both instances of the 2 levels.

Whoops, I meant 4, not 3.

Proxima

4 Tricky "Here's one I prepared earlier"
5 Tricky "Careless clicking costs lives"
7 Taxing "Every lemming for himself!!!"
8 Taxing "The Art Gallery"

Q: Which level of Amiga Lemmings is furthest away from its repeat? And which level is closest?
(Hint: the answer to the second part is not the levels I just mentioned.)

chaos_defrost

Furthest, I think, is Mayhem 20 (No added colours or lemmings), Away from Fun 4 (A task for miners and climbers).

Closest... Is a bit harder. Running mentally through the levels, I think the answer is some WAFD level. ... I think the two closest are WAFD Taxing (Taxing 30) and WAFD Mayhem (Mayhem... 11?).

That said, I am unsure of the latter (or if you count the WAFD levels in that assessment), so I'ma wait for confirmation of how correct it is before I pose a question.

Entirely correct (though I think, if I remember rightly, that on the Mac version at least, the Mayhem WAFD is coded as a copy of the Tricky one, and the Taxing one of the Fun one.... but that's only something you'd know by hacking into the game, so for the purposes of the question you may ignore it!)

I was hoping someone would try to answer with Mayhem 16 and Mayhem 27 -- they're just as close (11 levels apart) but aren't strictly "repeats" &#A0;:P &#A0;but you managed to avoid falling into that trap.

chaos_defrost

I ran backwards through the Mayhem set (To figure out the longest part) and never did I think of Just a Minute 2 vs. Just a Minute 1. Then again, I know about the difference: It ruined my orginal solution to the first Just a Minute.

Ok, new question:

Not counting the WAFD levels, there are (I believe) 4 levels in Amiga Lemmings that require you to use every task given to you in order to pass the level. None of these are in the Taxing set -- name at least one of these levels in each of the other three sets.
