Top-backroute: Skulls has a backroute by stretching 2 builders over the top, without help from any other skills. This backroute has become possible since 0.7 physics.

But even in 0.6 physics, similar things (that don't solve the map) were possible here:

0.6 Skulls backroute

Miner cancels the builder.

You have a spare miner and a spare cuber in the 0.9 top-backroute.

Skulls should be designed much clearer such that these things clearly fail (instead of barely fail or even barely work).

23:43 <geoo> SimonN: the picture that you show in the thread is the intended solution. Everything that does _not_ [go over the top with 2 builders + maybe some non-builder skills] is a backroute
23:45 <geoo> for Skulls Sludge & Steel
23:46 <geoo> The level had the burner instead of the bomber in the place where you used it. Bridge stetching has to be impossible while what you do should be straightforward. Terrain is hard to set up to ensure this
23:47 <geoo> with burners it was easier

The 0.6 route in the first post's picture uses a miner, not an imploder.

I would really like this much clearer. Use platformers if builders become too fickle.

Intended route: I played Skulls with the intended route (build, implode, build over the top) and pushed this intended route to the replay collection. It's also attached. The collection had only a builder-stretching solution before. Probably intended replay failed around 2015-2017 and nobody replaced it with a working intended route.

Cut the spare cuber: Cubers 2->1.

geoo, please post this to the forum instead of dumping into IRC. These things are important. They get buried in IRC.

All-low backroute: Attached is a second backroute, found by Forestidia. This backroute doesn't send anyone over the top at all. The climbers break directly through the lower-right terrain. :lix-evil:

Intended solution uses both cubers, see attachment for reference.

In this replay, you can save the final miner (A): It's enough to implode through the cube stack at the exit. I believe this was already possible in 0.6.

Killing workers with imploders is the central theme, and both such kills are not necessary since 0.6 or even earlier: The first builder can be cancelled with the miner that we save from (A).

Hmm. The imploders are powerful. I feel that the theme should be kept (it's really cute and unique) and the level should be redesigned around two such kills.
