So I found a backroute of my own in "SUNSOFT Swindle" that simply revolves around building a large bridge in the starting area - I've tried to block it using aesthetically pleasing scenery without being too obvious, but also adding one or two extra swindles here and there!

Crane

Version 3.  All my fancy scenery introduced a new backroute, so I've gone for something a little simpler for "SUNSOFT Swindle".  Hmmm... I'm backrouting my own level a lot - is this a bad sign?!

Nessy

Here is my solution to "SUNSOFT Swindle" V3 :)

Crane

Hah, nice one! Not intended, but very clever - I almost wish I could keep it!  Here's version 4.  No more bypassing the one-way arrows!

Crane

Version 5 - I'm worried that I'm starting to give too many clues as to the solution, since that metal plate that now exists in the rightmost pillar is to prevent a wall trick.

I think your fixes Crane are pretty good now as I'm currently stumped on "SUNSOFT Swindle"!

In the meantime I'm going to share another random level :D This one is from my upcoming pack "Lemmings Destination". I'm curious to see what others think of it... and most importantly if this level is good enough to be one of the first levels in the third rank out of five.

Format: V12+

Level Name: Little Lemming Hideout

Difficulty: Medium

Graphic Set: Orig Pillar

Preview:

Fun Fact: The idea for this level came after backrouting one of my final rank levels.

Level Version: 2

Crane

How's this?  Difficulty feels on par with, maybe, Wicked from Oh No! More Lemmings.  For a small level, the scenery is very nice.

Spoiler
Pretty straightforward and definitely a good introduction level if the lesson is to plan ahead and evaluate what skills you have (e.g. I thought about building into the ramp to turn around, but then I realised I didn't have enough Builders for everything else, but you have a Basher to spare... and then I realised I needed 2 lemmings down below - simple enough to adjust!)

P.S. Now I look forward to seeing the harder version!

Nessy

Thanks for playing Crane (and mobius on Discord) and thanks for the feedback :)

Unfortunately both of you had the same exact solution and they are backroutes. Sorry but the climber must be used!

I updated the original post with a fix ;)

Crane

This one any better? The puzzle is more on par with Havoc now.
Spoiler

May I recommend moving one of the "lampshades" on the right down (and the left too if you want symmetry) so there's an overhead obstruction that you can build into? In the older version, being able to build into the ramp to turn around was a nice red herring if you don't count your Builders.

P.S. And I just want to confirm that "SUNSOFT Swindle" is definitely possible, but the solution is rather devious.

Nessy

That's intended. Well done :)

Spoiler

The floater is a red herring... and that suggestion about the "lampshade" is pretty damn good! I'll play around with it :D Thank you very much!

Hello,

when I signed here some weeks ago, I said that I wanted to give that Level-Making thing a try. I'm just not ready to create complete packs. But these three levels I attached below are my very first steps in unknown terrain. So please feel free to comment.

IchoTolot

Solved them and I think that they are quite nice puzzles. :)

Good first levels indeed!

I think the only slightly negative thing I can say is that "Marble Breaks and Iron Bends" looks a bit barren, but otherwise good job. :P

I've attached my solutions.

Thank you! Stupid question: How can I open this file format?

Load the level in and while inside the level (as you would play it) press "L" to choose and load in a replay file. :)
