Andi

I'm just coming home from "The Spongebob Squarepants Movie"!

Like the TV-series, a WTF?!-movie. ^^

DragonsLover

Arfs!!! Not SpongeBob!!! :x

Here's another movie that we got and that you know:

LOTR: Return of the King
I like dragons! They're the center of my life! I'll never forget them...

Andi

I think I saw it at a friend. The LOTR-Movies are very good.

Conway

LOTR is okay, but waaaaaaaay overrated. I still can't believe that Return of the King ranks as no. 2 in IMDB's top 250! I mean, it was well made and all, but soooooooooo corny and clich&#E9;!  O_o

Lemika

Not to mention altered, shortened, wrong, and otherwise inferior to the books.
I've not seen that particular one, but I loathe it nonetheless. And I did actually watch the first one, so I did kind of give them a chance. They failed miserably, needless to say, but still.

Enough of that, no? O_O

Ahem. On a more positive note, I just saw the first two Star Wars movies again [not I and II; IV and V]. The special editions. I'll admit, I was worried about those, but they really don't seem to have changed much. I did notice a few things tweaked or added here and there, but those certainly weren't detrimental. So I'm happy. I hadn't seen them in a few years, and that was far too long.

G3K

Hah, I just watched both of those recently as well... the special effects leave a lot to be desired in comparison to modern-day CGI and whatnot, it still retains its brilliance regardless though.

Personally, I quite liked the LOTR movies (especially when accompanied by a rather powerful sound system :D) but I can see why readers of the books hated them, as they aren't 100% canon.

As for Spongebob Squarepants... I'm saving my money for that. XP

Liebatron

If you were disappointed at LOTR number one:agree:, then your not alone, trust me, the second one is two times better than the first one and the third one is two times better than the second one.

Conway

Whereas the Matrix trilogy seems to go in the opposite direction.

Liebatron

I've only seen the first matrix. It was dumb. O_o. I don't know much of the plot either, so i really have no idea. On the matter of the matrix, i'll be quiet

(am i the first one to use that smily?)

Lemika

Better movies -- perhaps. Better at being like the Lord of the Rings? I think not. Even though I haven't seen them. I've at least heard that they changed even more things around after that.

Liebatron

LOTR is awesome if you understand the plot.(i had to watch the movie a few times to understand it fully myself).  :P

Lemika

I understand the plot perfectly well. It's not that hard. I have actually read those archaic things that are known as 'books' several times, you know... what the movie makers based the movies on. Yes, I say based. They may just blatantly use the same title, but it really should be 'based'. Perhaps even 'loosely based'. It's like based.

Liebatron

I find it dissapointing to find that in the movie,(LOTR) they took out the entire scouring of the shire! >:( I was looking forward to seeing how that would be made.

DragonsLover

Have you seen the movie: The Darkness?

For me, it wasn't stressful and scary! But some parts of the movie was very good! And you? Have you seen this movie?
