In the zip file, there is the set and the required style files.
Contributed Set: Speed Solutions

Here's what I have so far. Many thanks to people who have already contributed to this set (Ahribar, Conway). If anyone else would like to submit levels for this set e-mail me. The address is in my profile (I'm not going to post it here). I'm hoping to reach the target of 20 levels, so get creating!
If you contribute I will credit you when I write the readme file.

The reason for the name is so that if more than one these such sets are made, you can use the "Contributed Set" heading to say that the levels were contributed by a number of authors. The name that follows can describe the type of levels in the set.

Thats it, I have nothing more to say, go forth and create! (Phrase stolen from the one of the DROD games :D)

Conway

Cool idea! Just a small note: You don't technically need to credit each author in the readme, since the level has a space for that information in the introduction screen.

chaos_defrost

What do you consider the "maximum" time limit for a level in this set? You know, so I can make a couple levels for it before I leave for Canada?

Conway

Although it's not my set, I'd suggest something like 30 seconds. Maybe 45 max.

Isu

Yeah, I was thinking about something along the lines of 30 seconds.

chaos_defrost

It took a lot of fiddling to get this one to work in 30 seconds, but I finally did. Now, watch someone go and back-route it massively.

LEVEL IS HERE

Requires Michael's Pink style to play.

If the route I want is the only correct route, you should save 22 (maybe 23) just as the screen fades out (without fast forward). You shouldn't need FF to pass it, though.

Aaagh! I am so, SO sorry!!!

There's a critical error with the objects on my Pink style. I've corrected it, but you'll have to re-download the style and the levels [EDIT: link again, to save you having to go back to the other topic -- http://www.geocities.com/zarathustra47/Twenty.zip ], and Insane Steve, you might need to check that your level still works with the revised style.

That's a very shabby way to repay you for the kindness of using my style...... but many thanks anyway. Nowhere near solving your level yet, but it looks very good.

chaos_defrost

The level appears to work just fine, even with the revisions.

I like your version of the Pink style, I really do. Did you compose the musics 22-25, by any chance? I particularly like the song I used for the level I made with the style.

To say something about the difficulty of the level, I'd place it middle-end of Set #3 or middle-beginning of Set #4 if I were placing it in my notebook sets. It took me about a dozen tries to pass it, and I knew the solution to the level beforehand.

I've also confirmed that it's probably possible to save more than 22, but I like 22 as a guide number.

Why the levels?  They should still work with an updated style I'd think, since they shouldn't be referring to anything that isn't already there in the style file before your changes.

And actually, I think you owe us a detailed explanation of what exactly you changed, what's so "critical" that it forces us to go thru all these trouble.  After all, presumably Insane Steve has playtested his level already, so whatever this "critical error" is, it certainly didn't seem to have troubled Insane Steve.

I don't want to jab at Ahribar, but obviously if he could create any MIDIs at all, he wouldn't be pestering me all the time to get the ONML MIDIs finished.  ;P

So those are the ONML musics? Interesting.

Very nice arrangements you did.  :D

Never mind, didn't realize your zip file also contains your own levels.

No.  Or I don't know, I haven't even downloaded anything yet, not even your level nor Ahribar's new style.

All I mean is that since he has to pester me to get the ONML MIDIs done, logically it follows that he probably doesn't have the tools/skills/means/etc. to create MIDIs himself, so the ones in the style is probably from someone/somewhere else.

LOL, hey you're right.  They are ONML music!  Well at least 22-24 are.

#22 I think is the one DragonsLover made.  In the DOS version it would be the first ONML music.

#23 and #24 are the ones I made.  I'm surprised he even put in #23 since it is technically not finished yet.  In the DOS version it would be music #5 and #6 (I think in Amiga and Mac ONML it would be music #4 and #5).

#25 I have no idea.  I almost want to say he made it because the beginning sounds like a struggling composition student.  ;P Just kidding. (It wasn't too bad though after the beginning, so maybe just a really modern piece.)

OK, sorry about everything. This is what happens when someone asks for some levels that use a new style that you weren't intending to release for a while.......

The error I was referring to was in the location of the "point" for the window object, which screwed up my second 20-second level because you would have had a lot more margin for error in placing the digger -- but against that, you'd very likely not have been able to do the level at all without the FF cheat. I'm glad the mistake didn't mess up Insane Steve's level.

Musics #23 and #24 are indeed guest's unfinished ONML remakes. I put them in the style so I could listen to how they worked on the game. I hadn't intended to release the style until they were finished, but Isu wanted these levels......

Music #25 is a Shela folk song (the Shela are a people from my girlfriend's fantasy world, Kadreilia) set to music by me and MIDIfied by one of my friends from another forum, the one where I and my girlfriend met, in fact. Sorry you didn't like it, guest; but I'm glad you did, Steve. (I know the intro's crap; I can't write intros. Given your rudeness, I hope you could do a better one; but unfortunately this isn't the right time to ask you for some lessons.) It's in the style because I'm using it as the music for one of my "unique graphics" levels, though I'm hoping to be able to persuade my friend to make a version that works a bit better as a Lemmings music.

Two quick notes.

Musics #1 to #17 are the Lemmings normal level musics in order. Any musics beyond that might not stay in the same position in the final style, so if anyone wants to use this style, the music on your levels might change when the final version is released, and you might want to change it back.

Isu, please change the name of this set. Cheapo sets titles are limited to 24 characters; anything beyond that won't display.

For anyone who's interested: the words to the song. (If it doesn't make much sense, well, it is the middle verse :P )

The light of the lamp fades in the sun
That tiny flame seems to grow very cold
Everything seems full of sunlight
It lights up the heavens, as I watch the dawn
Yet when there is thunder and clouds shadow the sky
Who lights my way ahead?
