Hi folks.

I've been playing this new game recently. It's basically a time-attack based arcade racing game where you turbo boost your car across tarmac, dirt, big jumps and treacherous obstacles. It is especially fun in multiplayer mode, where you can either compete online, hotseat, splitscreen or cooperate with the unique double-driver mode, where two users are controlling the same car (Although tbh, who would really want to participate in a double-driver career mode with your friend trying to repeatedly steer your car into oblivion? :P).

However the biggest feature this game has is that you can create your own tracks and share it with the world. As a racing fan, I've been waiting a long time for a decent game that enables the option to create your own race tracks. If you don't feel like you have the time however, you can choose the Random Track Generator option.

Has anyone played this recently? It's been released this year so might be a good time to give it a go.

Rubix has played a ton of Trackmania, I don't remember which version. Rubix reads the forums occasionally only, but often sits in #lix.

Seems cool! I wish it'd be on Wii U :/

Looking at the Wiki article, I'm afraid it's not released on Wii U, although I do understand how fun that would be to play the game with the steering wheel. It is apparently available on PC via steam if you're desperate to give it a go. (I assume everyone on the forum has a PC, right?)

Yes, I have a great pc, but for some reason I don't enjoy pc gaming a whole lot.
I've got some great games for pc, but I hardly play them. Perhaps it's because I want to use a controller? Or sit on the couch while gaming?
In each case, I don't buy games like these for pc, as I stop playing them after a few hours, while when I buy them on console (preferably on a compact disk and not a digital download), I play them for months.
Just personal preference, I guess.

Apparently there's an older game in the series for Nintendo Wii, but as you may know, Nintendo WFC was discontinued some years ago, which voids all online features, which seemed the most fun to me.
Oh well, it's not like I don't already have enough games on my wishlist :P
