Hi friends!

I'm thinking of doing a Let's Play with commentary on Youtube of a custom Lemmings levelpack. Any suggestions which one I should play or which ones you would be interested in seeing me play? Right now, I'm contemplating either Reverse Lemmings (my own creation) or Pimolems (which I have beaten). Please let me know what pack you want me to play if any, but keep in mind if I'm going in blind, I don't want to play a pack that is insanely difficult (it would take me months to beat it if so, and/or I will have to look up solutions).

If you already gone through PimoLems, my NeoLemmix conversion should be a good pick as it should fix some backroutes and other problems.
Also the feedback would be much appreciated! Finding some more backroutes and mistakes is always good.
+ I added 2 more special levels from Lemmings Reunion in the Special rank. Reunion itself should be too hard for now ;)

Generally to get into NeoLemmix the "NeoLemmix Introduction Pack"  is also a very good pick!

Remember that PimoLems is a very hard pack, there are definitely harder ones such as Lemmings Reunion, though there are also much easier ones. There's the neolemmix introduction pack (though this still isnt just a walk in the park). I believe gigalems, geofflems and possibly certain lemmings plus packs are easier too, though I don't know as I haven't played them myself. Pimolems is a very good pack however, so if you think you're up to the challenge you can  go for it!

If you beat PimoLems; you shouldn't be too intimidated by other packs imo PimoLems is quite hard!
DoveLems is comparable to PimoLems in difficult I think and also very good. DoveLems is only on Lemmini at the moment.
Goofflems is also a great pack which I've only played partly but I've seen it all through namida's videos and it is quite good.

There's also my pack which isn't the hardest pack but it's gotten two video series already so I'm no longer hungry for feedback, I've gotten quite a lot. [Thank you!:thumbsup: ]

Insansely difficult packs: NepsterLems, Akseli's small pack :P

It might be worth looking through these channels, to see what's already been done:

I mean, there's nothing wrong with LPing the same pack, as you will have different perspectives and probably find some different solutions, but you might want to pick something that hasn't been done yet. Then again, namida and Flopsy seem to be intent on playing through all the big NeoLemmix packs, so you'll likely end up crossing paths sooner or later.

Hi Colorful Arty

Some of the bigger packs I really like are Martin Zurlinden pack which you can get on the mindless website.  Those levels are very tricky puzzle wise but they are also a lot of fun I thought. :) There's one level where you have to hunt for the exit and I hear many people who have tried it may of got stuck for a while on it.

Here's part one of his pack.

I quite liked Anatol's pack. It has 10 levels with some of the levels not as simple as it looks. I remember having a lot of tries on one of the levels. :) I may of glitched the bubbles level but then again maybe the intended solution.

Old Lemmini pack you could try my one.

You might like one of my very very small level pack where each level is a new puzzle of a level you have probably played in the past. I don't think it's too difficult as I was just getting used to using the editor

Yeah Pimolems is a very hard pack but very good. I remember being stuck on the warehouse level for ages not knowing what to do so I decided to turn to a walkthrough. I try and make it that the walkthrough is my last resort. :) :) :) :)

Aside from my own packs (the Lemmings Plus series and Doomsday Lemmings), I would highly recommend GeoffLems and Lemmings Reunion. Do be aware that the latter is very hard; I would strongly advise getting the NeoLemmix version, not only because it's more up-to-date, but also because the pack is hard enough even with the fine-control features NeoLemmix has; trying to play it without them in Lemmini would be a total nightmare. I've also heard very good things about NepsterLems (again though, this includes "the difficulty is insane"), but haven't got around to properly playing it myself yet.

I would advise playing the NeoLemmix Introduction Pack before getting too much into NeoLemmix content. Those that are from the early days of NeoLemmix, or converted from other engines, you'll generally be fine without playing the introduction pack first (the only significant difference you're likely to notice in such cases is that bombers don't have a countdown), but I would recommend playing it before playing the more recent and made-for-NeoLemmix packs (such as Lemmings Plus Omega / IV or MobiLems II). Don't worry too much about the Gimmicks rank; gimmicks are being removed in the near future.
My projects
2D Lemmings: NeoLemmix (engine) | Lemmings Plus Series (level packs) | Doomsday Lemmings (level pack)
3D Lemmings: Loap (engine) | L3DEdit (level / graphics editor) | L3DUtils (replay / etc utility) | Lemmings Plus 3D (level pack)
Non-Lemmings: Commander Keen: Galaxy Reimagined (a Commander Keen fangame)

oh I forgot: yes, MazuLems would  be an excellent choice. Hasn't a NeoLemmix pack been made for his pack yet? I seem to recall it has. there are only about 30 levels, so you may consider it more manageable than a big pack.
several of his level are in "Revenge of the Lemmings" which btw, is another possible choice but this pack is very large and begins easy but gets very hard. Also it is currently being worked on so probably not the best choice right now.

Clam's Lix pack. >_>

Clam designs excellent levels. He hasn't yet received the due spotlighting.

Thank you all for your suggestions and input! :)

I have decided after some deliberation to play PimoLems on NeoLemmix! I will be recording later this afternoon, and hopefully the first video will be up tonight! :D

But if you've beaten it before, won't you remember a big part of the solutions?

Flopsy

My current plans are to slowly work through the Lemmings Plus series and breaking it up with a level pack from someone else inbetween so as of right now, I haven't got anything on the radar for between Lemmings Plus II and Lemmings Plus III.

Suggestions are welcome on this given that I've already played Gigalems and I am nowhere near attempting packs as hard as Nepsterlems or Lemmings Reunion.

Geofflems is a possible choice but I'm open to other suggestions also. Is Pimolems a suitable choice for me does anyone think (from anyone who has watched my videos)?

My side projects (which are all official games) are sorted for now, I'm doing L2 Tribes (Genesis) currently, then I might do Genesis Lemmings (by popular demand), then Lemmings Revolution if I have the game working by then.

My advice is just start with a pack which you're comfortable with. I started with the Neo Lemmix Introduction Pack then moved on to Lemmings Plus I. Don't burn  yourself out with too many hard packs in a row. Make sure after playing something hard, you fall back on something a little easier.
The reason I have the side projects going is so I have something more familiar to play on the side of my Neo Lemmix projects and if I'm finding a particular level annoying, I can take a break and focus on the side project for a bit before returning to the main project and it doesn't affect my recording schedule

Although yes, I already know the solutions, I don't remember all of them (especially the Pickaxe and One levels) plus many of the levels have removed backroutes and glitches, so there will still be a blind aspect as well. Also, as this is my first time working with NeoLemmix, I wanted something I know I can beat, because I hate not finishing projects because they're too hard. Plus, when winter semester of college is over in a few weeks, I'm not sure how often I'll be able to record videos.

Would you be willing to try my pack Flopsy but only problem is it is only on lemmini at the moment. :)

Here's my pack here on an attachment.

I don't think they are too hard, maybe one or two of the levels.

I only have 20 levels on mine.

Flopsy

That's a good suggestion grams88 but I can't get Lemini or SuperLemini to work for some reason. The installation fails to install it properly and always says a certain file is missing when it isn't.
I can't remember the exact details but I never pursued the problem because Neo Lemmix is so much better.

I could have another look at installing it and seeing it I can sort the problem out but for now I can't play it :(
