Hi all, as the owner of Lemming Crazy I would like to inform you that the next level designing competition is still open until 15th March. So far I've only had 2 Entries and I have their scores. I do want some more and if you ask nicely I may extend the deadline. Cheers, Adam.

I have a question: How are the levels judged?

On:
Appearence
Funability
Replay-ability
Suitability to category

I forgot to mention  - add the category when you enter it

Shvegait

What do you mean by category?
And is difficulty considered at all?

That's an interesting judging criteria, especially considering that there's a trend amongst the level designers here to try to restrict rather than expand the number of possible solutions in a level.

A level that has only one possible solution would seem likely to fail replayability, wouldn't it?

Shvegait

I agree with guest's assessment of replayability.

How about motivation to replay (before solving) instead of replayability? This is certainly something that varies from level to level. Some levels are very easy to give up on for one reason or another, while others have their way of motivating you to solve them, even if it takes a long time to discover or implement the solution correctly. I don't even know how you'd go about judging this, though. Just an idea...

I agree that is a better idea!

Are you going to enter a level?

Shvegait

Yeah, I sent you an e-mail yesterday. Did you not get it yet?

Yes sorry, I missed it due to all the junk.
I'll play it now

Conway

What are the criteria for the entries?

Well, is there a guide for the types of levels you want, any rules to follow, ect?
