AKHTBN iff it is exactly CITADEL.

That's correct  :P  Sorry for the troll round; once I had the idea I wanted to go with it to see how things would play out.

Did you feel sure it was right at this point or was this just probing for a more helpful koan?

Simon

I had given it 70 % to win outright, 20 % to see TOWN or similar sementaic-related white koan (WillLem had prodded in that direction but I had not), and 10 % to see semantically unrelated white koans for an obscure narrow letter-based rule (but it could hardly be anything).

After this many black koans, it's an important guess; others are likely to guess this otherwise.

I'll leave it for somebody else again to master next!

Incidentally, in case anyone wondered why I chose CITADEL as the word, WillLem's previous round made me think of the rule "AKHTBN if it's a Repton 3 level password", but I wouldn't expect anyone here to be familiar with those. so I chose just one  :P

I think I would like a try at being rulemaster. After observing the last several rounds played in the last several weeks, I understand how the game works now. Lots of fun, and I still enjoy playing words/letters games even though I'm a math/science person

I know this is sort of a joke remark, I'd actually say Zendo is a lot more mathematics-like then it is word/letters-like. Zendo is as much like words/letters than Suduko is to do with maths. We could play with numbers, colours, etc. It's more about observing patterns, and having an intuition of what to do, which is used all the time in mathematics e.g. those trigonometry substitution questions.

There are also the instructions at the start of the thread, but I don't think those are very good. I just had to watch other people play too to understand.
