I've decided to start recording my train of thought when picking a koan list, so that way if I forget why I chose a certain set of koans, I can see what I was thinking. Plus, it might help someone else figure something out.

Since LEMMING is white but GNIMMEL (lemming backwards) is black, we know that the order of letters within a koan makes a difference. However, some koans have more than one possible arrangement of letters (ALPACA/CALAPA, OCARINA/ANIRACO).  I will start by testing the remaining untested arrangements of HIT, since it's already been started. This will probably not going to tell me anything useful, but I'm going to try it anyway.

I thought I might have something to test by noticing that D is white and there are no black koans beginning with D, but what I intended to test (can a white koan become black by adding letters to the end?) is already determined through I being white but ILPICI being black. Three arbitrary koans starting with D have been chosen in an attempt to prove that a koan can start with D and be black.

Of interest to me is that some most substitutions in the ALPACA test were white (ALPACA, ELPECE, OLPOCO, ULPUCU, but ILPICI was black. As a result, I am choosing to test for patterns. The next koan on the list to contain only one unique vowel is BARACK, so the next set of vowel substitution tests will be performed on this koan.

Finally, three arbitrary words have been chosen in the hopes that one of them may be useful to perform tests on later.
