Here is a place where you talk about the projects your working on
Even as a team becuase To End the year in a bang for lemmings
Because i was thinking of a lemmix clone called
Lemmings
An Archive Christmas 2010
80 levels
4 ratings
Foggy=Fun
Snowy=Tricky
Freezing=Taxing
Frozen=Mayhem
I will do it as a Team project like
Two or three People For each rating each rating
Becuase I 'll be one of the two people to do Frozen mode
What's your project?

My Lemmings projects:

- Xmas pack (yes, continuing in the fine tradition of Xmas packs, there will be another one this year)
- More level packs (remakes, new levels, who knows what?)
- Wiki
- Challenges (currently one-way lemmings)
- Trying (and largely failing) to revive the level design game

Also, Lemmix clones don't just happen overnight (which it will have to be, to make it in time for Christmas), or even in a week. Unless you somehow get the whole forum on board to design levels for you... which I can't see happening right now. http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/undecided.gif" alt=":-\" title="Undecided" class="smiley" />

I'm inbetween making levels. I've only just finished making a pack and I'm taking a break from level creating for a bit and I am very busy at the moment with christmas and the new year. I am making a big lemmini megapack but I've only got 3 levels done so far. (I might try converting them to DOS after I finish though.) It will probably be completed by 2013.

I recently got bored enough to get back into Lemmings. Dug up an old level pack that I started working on when I was 14 or so and installed Lemmix since Microsoft killed DOS support for Win7 and LemEdit without mouse support is way too tedious for me (I heard there was a patched version that fixed that, but camanis.net died and I can't find it anywhere else... anyone still have it?), so I'll probably clean that up and finish it. Should be out by the end of the year.

Sorry about that.  The PSU in the machine that hosts the site died, and it took a while to dig up a replacement.

Here's a lemmings project I've been planning ever since 2000/2001.

It's a game like Oh No! More Lemmings.

It's categories are

Tame
Crazy
Wild
Wicked
Havoc

It will have all 6 music tracks from Oh No! More Lemmings. And it's level styles will be like the Original Lemmings.

Each category was originally going to have 40 levels each.

And I planned it to be in the DOS style.

That's what I had in mind.

Lix, even if she isn't a lemming, and the regulars probably know the project very good already.

I maintain the http://asdfasdf.ethz.ch/~simon/sprites.php" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">Lix sprite gallery. Nothing new here since February at the moment, but maybe some people might enjoy it who don't follow the development closely.

I migrated to Linux in the past 1-2 weeks, but it didn't halt the development of the game, it just moved it to a different area. I set up git (version control system) and made the source with the yet unfinished visuals publicly available. Tonight, I set up Wine and Graphicsgale, which had been my favorite pixel art tool under Windows. Hope to get the digger done until end of March. :-)

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you already in the middle of a project?
Stop s***ting out ideas and make something, or shut up. I'm sick of you.

Okay, namida, I think there are better ways to talk to Giga, but I am in agreement here.

Giga, I've backed you up for months, but I can't keep backing you up when I'm going round in circles.

The reason it's like August again is because nothing's changed. I don't like moderating in an in-your-face style and in public, as that isn't the way I think communities work. I prefer to try and settle disputes in private, and believe in giving people a chance (or several, in this case) to settle in properly. However, that isn't working, and the only way I think I can get to you, and dissuade other people from posting rubbish is to post this in public.

However, in the 22 months you've been on this forum, nothing has changed. Your spelling and grammar are both still atrocious, you post things without engaging your brain first, and you're constantly expecting others to do things you want to do, at your beck and call. People find it hard to read your posts, so they generally glaze over them, and that means when you do have something constructive to say, it's quite often ignored.

I've taken a look at all the stats in detail, and your post count compared to time spent online is significantly higher than anybody else's. People like namida, Clam Spammer and ccexplore have much higher post counts, but they've spent a lot more time on the forum, and their posts always have a point. You're number 2 in the list of topic starters, but you don't even make the top 10 in the list of time spent online. Dullstar's number 1, but he's in the top 10 list of time spent on the forum.

If you have a project, fantastic, but don't make it public until you've made some progress, and are sure you're going to finish it. You have a list of unfinished projects as long as your arm. Stop pulling ideas out of the air and immediately posting them on the forum saying "I'm going to do X, Y and Z.". Write them down.. buy a pen and get a little notebook, or even use printer paper.. keep everything together, and develop your ideas fully before going in all guns blazing.

You can't expect other people to work on your projects, either. Yes, I created the Green Hill style for you, but that was a one-off. What I did not expect was for you to then comment on my video saying "Do Marble garden next with marble garden music". That's rude, it's arrogant, and to be honest, it's put me off doing you any favours in the future.

I'm fed up with you, Giga. I have a lot of patience, and I've tried to help you become a good contributor to this forum, but as the saying goes, you can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink. In between all the nonsense, you do have some good ideas, but as long as all the other junk is being posted too, people can't see that.

If things don't change drastically over the next couple of days, Giga, I will have to take further action, as nearly every post I get reported is a post by you, and it's not just one person reporting your posts, either.

Adam

Giga, the point of the post wasn't to make you feel bad. It was to make you think. Think about what you say, think about your posts, think about your ideas and complete them. Quality over quantity, Giga. It's the way forward.

Minim

Oh dear, I would've been interested in this if I wasn't so busy doing other things. Anyway, a few months ago I decided to make some Christmas levels myself, but after I've created them, I didn't notice that the thread was there. I made 32 levels so far. Apologies if that doesn't reach your target but having us to create 80 levels is going to take a very long time, and I know the easiest way to play those levels is by using Lemmix, which can hold up to 32 levels. I can put those up if you want me to. http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" class="smiley" />
