Whilst messing about with a few levels and a Hex Editor I stumbled across a way to make levels with more than one style. There Is no Copying and Pasting involved - just a lot of Hex Editing.

I will email a step by Step guide to anyone who wants one. Cheers, Adam

Make a level and pick a style with four letters, If you want copy and paste a style and rename the pasted verion to a name with four letters.

Make the first bit of the level with your original style, just add graphics. Once finished SAVE.  Use a Hex Editor and hex edit  the place where the style is e.g. If you have made it with Dust.sty and you want to use sega next you replace "Dust" with "Sega".

Keep on doing this until you have finished. I reccomend finishing with Lem-Fire or Lem-fire2 because the Window is the normal lemmings window.

I think that sums it up. Cheers, Adam

UPDATE: New Style file created. I've created a new style file with all the Exits, THe standard and Lem-blue windows and most water.

UPDATE of UPDATE: The style file now contains all the Graphics for Original Lemmings and Oh No More Lemmings.

You could wait for the next version which will have all the traps aswell. That will be released hopefully on Saturday or Sunday

Just to make clear
The Hex editing I was talking about was for1 only one Level. Now I'm talking about making a style from the Beginning.

Adam

It's done, the style with everything.

If you want it Email me or speak on MSN.

Well... the style file isn't perfect: Some animation of the objects aren't good:

- Start trapdoors aren't animated at all
- Water uses only 2 frames, so the animations are ugly
- Exits too aren't animated at all
- Some exits don't work
- Some graphics elements aren't correct, the black square zone around some of them aren't good

Also, for my opinion, it's better to choose different graphics sets than have a huge one that groups each other. But, I agree that sometimes, it's great too to mix styles together to get more styles.

Dragonslover, I am improving the style as I type, There will at the end of the style be Every Piece from the PC version of lemmings and Every Piece from the Sega Version. There will also be the different stlyes of Exits from each game. Cheers, Adam
