Maximum Percentage for Lemmings Levels?

This is going to be QUITE a wall of text, isn't it?

We're going to find the maximum percentage that can be saved on official levels!  Some of these records probably already exist, but the problem is, sometimes you have to hunt them down.  So here they are.  I will do my best to keep this list up to date.

If all levels in a category have been tested, to shorten the list, "All levels in this category solved" will be added, and the ones resulting in 100% will be removed from the list.


Oh, yes, and for fun in DOS, I'm covering them all, and updating the post as I go.

@LemSteven: maybe off-topic, but I have been trying the no-bombers Taxing 27 challenge, and I finally made it, but I lost way more lemmings than you (I got 93%). The question is, how do you do?

Oh, I know this one straight off without even watching the replay. Losing only three on that level requires taking a completely different route....

The best possible score for the "no bombers" route is the same as for the old max-% solution - 77/80 or 96%. (edit: major screwup on my part, see below)

I just realised that my solution wasn't a no-bombers run at all. It was a one minute solution, and I did use a bomber. If you don't use a bomber, then you have to build out from between the blockers, and the builder here can't be saved because it gets separated from the sliding group. This means the theoretical maximum without bombers is 76/80, not 77. (I think you'll find the blocker you used on the right in your solution isn't necessary.)

My 77/80 route to Taxing 27 uses a backroute of sorts, going left from the entrance and building up to the top platform by going around it.

One perfectly timed bomber lowers the starting platform as much as possible, one blocker turns the bridge, and one blocker/bomber holds in the crowd.  The right side is sealed off by stacking 3 bridges on top of one another.

The post is from 27 Nov 2005, so perhaps there have been improvements in the meantime.
