Just a simple piece from me, this time. This is a miniature 3D-printed version of the Talisman from Lemmings 2, with a small loop added to the top so that it can be put on a necklace or a keychain.

It's a bit under an inch in diameter and is 3mm thick at its highest points. It was the product of the 2D-to-3D tool at http://www.shapeways.com/" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">Shapeways, which is a lot more useful now that it allows for grey to represent less-thick solid areas in an image (previously, it would only work with monochrome images, and wouldn't have allowed for something like this to be made at all).

Considering its coin-like size, I think that the details came out pretty well.

Here's a regular shot of the Talisman.

And here's a closer one that shows it in a lot more detail, and probably does it no justice because this image is so much bigger than its actual size. It shows the spots where I had to use Shapeways' thin wall fixer a lot more clearly than these can be seen in real life.

Anyway, I'm really happy with it. as it looks pretty damn smart. http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/thumbsup.gif" alt="" title="Thumbs Up" class="smiley" />
