Oh, probably. Try a search or something.

I like Myst and Riven, and I think the other however-many sound good as well. They're kinda frustrating, but that makes it more satisfying when you finally get a puzzle, I think.
Even if you have to take time out to play something less strategical before you have another go at it.

Strangely, I don't remember the music. I'm sure it was good, though...
I also read the first two of those books. I never read the third, because 'reliable sources' told me it was too bleak.

hydraboxdog

I read all three. The Book of D'ni was, how should I say this, interesting.

hydraboxdog

The game makes more sense when you read the books, though.

hydraboxdog

I am stuck on Channel Wood on the second floor in the place with all the tree houses. Does anyone know where the switch is?

Anatol

Sometimes you just have to wander around for a while...

Book of Tiana was my favority.  B)

Lemika

Yeah, that was my favorite, too.

It's been a while since I actually played Myst through. I'm just sort of stuck on Riven now.

Anatol

What part are you at? Have you gone to a different age yet?

Lemika

No, I haven't been to another age yet. I actually haven't played that for a while either, but I'm quite sure that we (it's not just me playing it; I take turns at it with Lemeri) just did that puzzle with all the stone head sort of things. I know, that's not a very good description.

And I don't want any hints. In case that's why you were asking. :D

hydraboxdog

at the end of the stone heads puzzle you get to go to the Moyote age. :D

hydraboxdog

besides that and riven there is only one other age.

You're suppose to not remember the music.  The music in the Myst series is generally meant to be ambient (moody and atmospheric).  It's supposed to stay mostly in the background so that you're not so much aware of the music as you are aware of the moods it creates while you're playing.  It's definitely not supposed to be catchy.  And actually, most of the time there isn't even really music being played, just various background noises corresponding to the scene/area you're at.  Again, think ambience.

And I finally bought the latest in the series (Revelation).  Just started playing with it for a day.  Definitely amazing how much the graphics has progressed since the first in the series.  I'm happy with it so far, but I have to say I no longer seem to have as much patience as I once do with these sort of games.  Good thing there's lemmings to fall back to in between.

dark_phoenix

In short, I agree. :D

tumble_weed

yeah I bought Myst about 2 months or so ago...

I'm about 3/4 of the way through...but I haven't played it for about the last month
