Wasn't sure where to put this but OK, here's my proposal for most of the challenges in the challenge board.

If any challenge is finished can we mark it on the board? For example, if the minimum skills thread is finished we could mark it with something like: "What is the minimum number of skills needed to beat each level? (Finished!)" Maybe one of our moderators could do that for us, or we can make a list in a separate topic and possibly stick it up. If we get this proposal to work then it will indicate which challenges are complete and which ones still need to be done.

There is an exception. One where the possibilities for a challenge are endless, for example the "Oh No! More Challenges" thread, doesn't necessarily need to be marked as finished.

Renaming the topic can already be done by a moderator. geoo and Clam are global mods.

You care a lot about the challenges, I'd be happy to propose you for moderating the Challenge board.

No challenge is ever finished  http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />  But some challenges are certainly incomplete in that not all levels have been looked at.

I will mark with "Incomplete" any that I find (ignoring a couple that never really got started). So far there are only three:

Minimum skills for one lemming - Lemmings 2
Minimum skills with maximum %
Lemmings 2 - fewest different types of skills needed to get gold

A sticky post probably works better than marking, as some threads are scoped to DOS-Lemmings-1 games while others include Lemmings 2 etc. on same thread, and technically even when limited to only DOS-Lemmings-1-based games, I think many threads do not include various one-off levels coming from special editions of the game, and so in some sense are still "incomplete" but not necessarily in the way that minimac cares about.  Anyway, a sticky post can more accurately capture such information than a simple marking, plus you don't have to browse through potentially multiple pages of topics to find the ones you want.

I must say though, Proxima's incomplete list is rather shorter than I expected; I guess a whole bunch of challenges got completed while I hadn't been paying attention? http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/undecided.gif" alt=":-\" title="Undecided" class="smiley" />

Hmm, as long as we're on that, any chance I can get proposed as well? http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" class="smiley" />

Good reason for the sticky topic. I think that one sticky topic is going to work better than doing the tedious marking part. Speaking of stickies, I think that the sticky thread "SPOILER CODE" should be moved to the challenges thread. I don't know why nobody thought of moving this to the appropriate place. http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />

Hey. Thanks for giving me and ccexplore the offer. I am happy to accept moderating the Challenges board, as most of my posts are directed to challenges. I feel that this is certainly the right time, as my college course is finishing and therefore I will be much more active during the summer. As for ccexplore, he is the challenge expert http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" class="smiley" /> so I think that he deserves to moderate the board too.

I think the reverse levels challenge is far from done. Why not reverse the PSP special levels? Those are real official levels too and thanks to me, I brought them into Lemmix. http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" /> There's also the Sega Genesis levels too.

The problem is, we'll have to create a pack for it before we can carry on. I can do this job if you like me to, and upload in the Reverse levels pack.

Feel free to add the PSP and Genesis levels (and other version-specific levels like the Mac and SNES's Tricky 21s, Covox, Bonus...) to any challenge you wish, and I'll update the first post with the results. But the main priority is completing the DOS L1, ONML and Holiday levels (or L2, for L2-specific challenges), so for now only challenges that are missing some of these will be marked "Incomplete".

I found two more -- L2 fewest types of skills (added to the above post) and Dullstar's "least amount of time". I haven't marked the latter as "Incomplete" as it seems to be more the case that no-one was interested (understandably, since the challenge involves finding minimum time to the second for every level).

Namida's "one skill per lemming" challenge is missing results for which levels you can save 100%.

We did recently finish off quite a few that were nearly there -- one skill per lemming, skills you need for max%, reverse levels, 99 release rate, default release rate. Though it's entirely possible that our results are improvable!

True, that's about the one-and-only challenge that's definitely incapable of improvement. I'm reluctant to give it a unique marking on that account.

To answer your question in that topic, all challenges assume DOS version unless otherwise stated. Lemmix is faithful to the DOS version, including the absence of water on many levels.
