I cannot get Lemmings 3D to run music! I put it on every format and nothing worked! Not even CD Music! Also, when I get to the intro, it skips the intro. Please help!  http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/huh.gif" alt="???" title="Huh?" class="smiley" />

3D Lemmings seems to be configured correctly. Are you using DOSBox?

Also, the CD music and FMVs won't play because you're using the floppy disk version of the game. The music played, if you can get it to work, will be good old MIDI. http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" />
SEGA Master System version
100% on 110/120 levels (92%). Other levels [Lemmings lost]:
Fun 03 [3], 06 [2], 18 [5]
Taxing 19 [5], 27 [1], 28 [3]
Tricky 15 [5], 17 [2]
Mayhem 19 [7], 26 [10]

I am not using DOSBox. I am using the MS-DOS Batch File.

Use DOSBox, instead (you can get it http://www.dosbox.com/" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">from their website).

My understanding is that modern versions of Microsoft Windows cannot run MS-DOS games properly, if at all, so DOSBox is the way to go for them. http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />

That said, in my experience, on some machines regardless of OS, with the CD version you'll probably have some issues with playing the redbook audio (that is, the CD music), and will just have to fall back to the more-varied MIDI soundtrack anyway. http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />

I'll have to double-check what to do about the FMVs, but I know that there is a fix for that if you're running the non-CD version of the game from your hard drive. I'll post back later when I have access to my main computer, as I fixed it on there. http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />

Which file am I suppost to drag into the program?

Prob Lem

I'm really sorry - I had a crazy couple of weeks and completely forgot about this!

The program you need to run in DOSBox, once you've run setup.exe is L3D.exe - that's the game's executable. I seem to remember, from way, way back when I used to use Microsoft Windows, that once DOSBox is installed, you can also simply right-click on an MS-DOS executable file, and choose to run it using DOSBox, which may be more convenient.

Regarding the FMVs, unzip http://www.mediafire.com/?a4l7ajvhfba5488" class="bbc_link" target="_blank">this file (just click the big green "Download" button, and just ignore the possibly-confusing advertisement about upgrading - it's nothing to do with the download), and drop the resulting folder into the main Lemmings 3D folder - this is most likely what's missing. Once you've done that, run setup.exe again, and make sure that animations are turned on.

Sorry once again for taking so long to get back to you! Hopefully this should take care of everything. http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/smiley.gif" alt=":)" title="Smiley" class="smiley" />

Never mind, I found a dos version online that had music. but.. whenever I put the music sound card on a different one, it does nothing... Is this properly configured? Also, if i go to options and turn the CD Music on full, the in-game's music mutes.   http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/huh.gif" alt="???" title="Huh?" class="smiley" />

If running in DOSBox, by default, it emulates a SoundBlaster card - changing it to anything else will indeed cause it to do nothing.

Also, if you're not running it from the CD, you won't get CD music at all, so setting the CD music volume on high may well have this effect - though I've never tried it, admittedly. http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" />
