Hello to everyone!

Can any of you tell me what's the name of this tune? :

I read somewhere in the net that it's a Swing song from the early 1920s-1930s, but currently I've forgotten its name.

Thanks!

Ha ha, I just know it as "The Lemmings theme music". http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/winktounge.gif" alt=";P" title="Wink-Tongue" class="smiley" />

You sure it's Swing?  The tune doesn't really sound like something one can dance to, unless it was heavily rearranged from the original version (assuming it was in fact derived). http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/undecided.gif" alt=":-\" title="Undecided" class="smiley" />

Swing, or maybe some kind of strange Jazz... But I swear this tune has a name, I found it on Youtube in its original form, but now, I just can't remember its name.... Ouch...

Luckily, I've just found THAT YouTube video that I mentioned before:

"March Of The Mods (The Finnjenka Dance)", written by Tony Carr, arranged by Leslie Vinall, and performed by Joe Loss Orchestra, 1964.

Ok: it wasn't [strictly] Swing, it wasn't Jazz, and it wasn't from the 1920's or 1930's... Blame on my awful memory, and Hail to the historical record of my web browser =D .

Trivia:
--------
-Released as a single in the Autumn of 1964, it peaked the #31 in the UK.
-It was the theme to Australian TV show "Kommotion" (1965-1967).
-This Intro tune was also used as End-Of-Game melody on the Genesis/Mega Drive Lemmings.

http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/cool.gif" alt="8)" title="Cool" class="smiley" /> Interesting how a little percussion can make the tune much more dance-like compared with the Lemmings version.

It's a little surprising though given that I thought they wanted to steer clear from copyrighted music.
