Dullstar, I presume you have sun-javaplugin-nonfree installed?

I have Java Webstart, but it doesn't work.  I marked EVERY package I had of Java for re-installation, too!  What kind of rabid apes made that software, anyways?!

The Doctor

Sun Microsystems, lol.

What sort of errors are coming up when you try to use Lemmini.jar, Dullstar?

Try running it from the Terminal (java lemmini.jar) and see what the output is.

Which distribution/version of JAVA do you have installed on your machine? Did you install it yourself or was it already installed with the OS? Which version of Ubuntu do you use? If I remember well I had to install (manually) another version of JAVA than the version provided with the OS because it didn't work correctly. I think that the preinstalled version even didn't work in Firefox (not detected) http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/tongue.gif" alt=":P" title="Tongue" class="smiley" /> I don't know if the following versions of Ubuntu fixed this. I think (I'm not sure I remember well) that the version of JAVA installed with Ubuntu wasn't the official release by Sun but a tweaked version... Again, I'm not sure. It's been ages http://www.lemmingsforums.com/Smileys/lemmings/winktounge.gif" alt=";P" title="Wink-Tongue" class="smiley" />

A silly question but ... how do you launch Lemmini? Do you rightclick "lemmini.jar" and choose "Open with

I did identify the problem.  The Java Webstart thing?  Doesn't work.  I wonder if the one I installed on Windows can work...

I don't get an error.  What I get is...  nothing.
I should be able to make another try at this later when the next version of Ubuntu arrives, although that won't be until, if I remember correctly, sometime in October.

I'm going to reboot the computer, then try all suggestions.  I did admittedly try using the website's link to use Java Webstart, because I couldn't find which file was the one you were supposed to run.

I FINALLY got it to work.  But I'm not getting any sound...
