Here are a few random ideas, I wouldn't call them requests as I know how busy Simon is and how many more parts require more high-priority work, but I'd like to leave them here as food for thought!

  • First place is absolutely certain: Alert or Terminate

  • Stats and high scores, for the single player it could show a top 10/20 of whoever sent in the highest number of lix and in the quickest time; for multiplayer, it would be great to have for each map an incremental number showing the wins of the players who are going to play (player X 9 - player Y 3). This info could be stored locally shown in the lobby once the level is selected, and just linked to the player names, it's something people who often play together can enjoy I guess, to understand better where they need to improve. If I never won on a map against a specific player, maybe I have to change my strategy.

  • Editing the number of lix and rate per Hatch, right now it's set for all the hatches in an equal way, I'd like to have the freedom of deciding the behavior of each single hatch, for instance, one could be sending maybe only 1 lix out, and the rest need to be rescued as they are all out at the same time in a box.

  • Portals, I try to replicate the effect with many jump/hair flows... but having a real-time portal would open many more possibilities.

  • Focus/lock mode on a selected lix. Once a lix is selected to start a skill you only click on the skill/hotkey, without the need to select the skill first and click on the lix (similar to highlight mode as suggested by Flopsy). Maybe the arrow keys could select the next and previous lix, following the spawn order.

  • UI misshapen at 3840x2160: Text too large and abbreviated, too few buttons

  • Championships and cup challenges, would require having a login system, so I am pretty sure it's a massive task, but why not dream? :D

  • Neutral Lix would be great as many are asking, but I know it's not happening soon, but still, I wanted to support the cause.

My thoughts on each idea:

Quote2. Stats and high scores, for the single player it could show a top 10/20 of whoever sent in the highest number of lix and in the quickest time; for multiplayer, it would be great to have for each map an incremental number showing the wins of the players who are going to play (player X 9 - player Y 3). This info could be stored locally shown in the lobby once the level is selected, and just linked to the player names, it's something people who often play together can enjoy I guess, to understand better where they need to improve. This is a good idea but I don't think the Lix multiplayer server stores info about the games played, everything gets recorded in the replay files on each player's individual PC. The replay files don't store information on how much players have scored either so Lix does not know who has won without playing the replay file to conclusion and displaying the results. All the replay file stores is who was playing in what player permutation, the skill assignments on which Lix at what frame, and the data of the level itself (it is possible to recover a level from a replay file due to this).
I have some multiplayer stats which I have recorded manually by watching the replays and making a note of who won on what map and scored how much, if you're interested in seeing that. I'm interested in data from the multiplayer also :lix-wink:

Quote3. Editing the number of lix and rate per Hatch, right now it's set for all the hatches in an equal way, I'd like to have the freedom of deciding the behavior of each single hatch, for instance, one could be sending maybe only 1 lix out, and the rest need to be rescued as they are all out at the same time in a box

In NeoLemmix it is already possible to edit how many Lemmings spawn in each hatch but the Release rate/Spawn Interval is consistent and can't be set per hatch. I've found it annoying in the Lix multiplayer on occasions when making maps for it that you must have the same amount of hatches and exits for each player also, it makes making asymmetric level more difficult.

Possible solution to this: You can relay multiple hatches over each other on areas where you want more Lixes to spawn and just place one hatch in the area where you want less Lixes to spawn, I don't think there is a limit on how many hatches you can place (as long as it is consistent across all players if making multiplayer maps). The release rate thing doesn't really have a work around though.

Quote4. Portals, I try to replicate the effect with many jump/hair flows... but having a real-time portal would open many more possibilities.

Could theoretically be possible, it depends whether Simon wants it.
I think Lix prefers using the toss mechanics from the hair flows you mention.

Quote5. Focus/lock mode on a selected lix. Once a lix is selected to start a skill you only click on the skill/hotkey, without the need to select the skill first and click on the lix (similar to highlight mode as suggested by Flopsy). Maybe the arrow keys could select the next and previous lix, following the spawn order.

Useful feature, it would be a great feature for the single player for sure. Multiplayer though, might be of limited use. Would be great on a Race map if you could just click the skill panel to control your Lix and not have to rely on the click hitting your Lix which will most likely be Running!
I support this feature still, the scope of this for single player is huge.

Quote7. Championships and cup challenges, would require having a login system, so I am pretty sure it's a massive task, but why not dream?

I'm pretty sure Lix when it connects to the multiplayer server is already using a login, it's not password protected but it's still a login I believe. This kind of ties in with number 2 above and would probably not happen unless the Lix community is much larger than it is now. One can dream though :lix-winktongue:

Quote8. Neutral Lix would be great as many are asking, but I know it's not happening soon, but still, I wanted to support the cause.

I know Simon wants this down the line, I'm not sure if he's been posting publicly about it but he has shown me an experiment version of Lix where neutral Lixes were being used so it is theoretically possible.
I'm sure Simon can answer this one better than I can but this is a feature which should be coming, don't know when but it should happen.
