Neat minigame!  But I have to ask, did question 14 get blown up by the incoming nuclear missile?

Quizmaster

I changed my mind about having a 4th part to the special scoring as it was already getting very complicated. I forgot to remove these references to it.

QuoteRule hole in 11: Shelter at 20, shelter at 40, candidate at 30 wants to use someone else's shelter. What is the closest shelter?
I didn't consider this possibility. Okay - increasing value will take priority in these cases. But do note that the wraparound still applies - if there's one at 90 and one at 10, someone at 100 will go to 10.

QuoteClarification in 12: "the most popular option wins" = all most popular options win?
Didn't consider the possibility of a tie here. Okay - if a tie occurs, Q12 and Q13 are both split between the options (0.5 per voter for Q12; half the stated scores on each option for Q13). A single random number is still used.

QuoteClarification in 13: "The impact of the result depends on which option was chosen in question 12" = chosen by me, or chosen by simple majority vote?
By the majority vote. Only one option gets used (unless two or more were tied for most popular, in which case they're split, but all using the same random number.

QuoteClarification in 13: "Everyone gains/loses" = all players (then what difference does the outcome make?), or the voters for that option?
All players. It could make a difference if someone is significantly high / low, to the point where the feud score conversion cap becomes involved. In such a case, a large gain/loss could change how much they gain relative to the other players.

QuoteClarification in 13: "Everyone loses 15 points, and question 14 is skipped." There is no question 14?
See above post.

Simon

Thanks for the quick clarifications.

The wraparound metric is news for me, can't find it anywhere in Q11.

Hey Quizmaster! Did you get busy during the holidays?

Simon

The round has been open for 3 months. I don't believe this will ever resolve.

Let's make the Quizmaster account available again. I'm not keen on running a standard round of Family Feud right now, but I've got a game design itch. :lix-evil: Shall we see what surprises I got up my sleeve?

-- Simon

Quizmaster

I had completely forgotten about this, to be honest.

Just on the offchance anyone wants to get answers in, I'll make a 24-hour notice on answers closing, and then I'll tally up the scores. But yes, with me forgetting that badly, it's probably best that I pass to someone else for the next round.

Simon

If you're around, sure, go resolve this first.

While compiling the entries, I noticed an omission of a starting point in one person's Q11, and an invalid answer from one person to Q9.

To give this person time to fix their answers, I'll leave the round open a bit longer - probably around 24 hours; at least one person knows who's Quizmaster at the moment so they can give me a friendly reminder if I forget again (I probably won't now that it's been brought up again, though).

Other people are free to submit answers during this time as well - despite probably the longest open-for-answers period in the history of Lemmings Forums Family Feud, we've only had 4 submissions!

Quizmaster

Fell a bit off-track once again, but entries are now closed. Results will be posted shortly.

Quizmaster

Okay, it's results time!

We only had four entries this time, so it's probably not going to be as exciting as usual. Regardless, let's play!

Well, I'd say it's well and truly time to hand this over to someone else now. On that note - I do believe it's probably time to start a new topic, since it's not 2015 anymore. :)

mobius

oh that's right--- I sort of remember this feud, :D. I'm sad more people didn't join, I actually really liked this one and the special questions too.
