Status: Change has been made for next update. However - it exits replay mode after the last action, whether or not this is an assignment. Usually this'll be instead a skill change, a nuke or a release rate change, but in some cases with older replays, it will simply be because the player has paused after the last actual action. Replays made with the updated version will no longer record pausing at all.

This is related to the discussions here and here about some details of the replay mode. In this thread I want to propose another change for a slightly different setup:
Going one frame back starts replay mode, even if no changes were made during the last frame and the replay mode will have no effect at all. Moreover it persists into the future, so one still "replays" something even when the current position was never reached before. Currently the replay mode only ends after a mouse-click.

Suggestion: Automatically end replay mode when no more skill assignments or RR-changes are recorded in the replay file.

Well I would be with you on this, when you consider the nuke as an assignment, too.

Without the nuke counting as an assignment the replay would go endlessly in levels which have leftover lemmings and you cannot simply skip with the spacebar through them to the end screen without actively pressing the nuke (so replay checking would be more annoying).
Also I don't consider replay mode avtive at the end of a solving replay to be a problem.

When it's a non-solving replay on the other hnd I agree completly as the replay should end after the last skill-assignment!

So I will be with you on this, if the nuke also counts as an assignment! :)

This makes sense and should not be difficult to implement at all.
