For a game like Lix - heck, for games in general - I would advise making it loop properly, rather than making it end smoothly. This would of course mean that Lix would need to be able to read looping metadata from the file (presumably OGGs), and act on it. If it were to use "LOOPSTART=<sample>" and "LOOPLENGTH=<sample>" - where the positions are in samples, not time - then looping OGGs would be completely portable between NeoLemmix and Lix (I believe some other apps, including OGG-supporting entries in the RPG Maker series, also use this tag format).
My projects
2D Lemmings: NeoLemmix (engine) | Lemmings Plus Series (level packs) | Doomsday Lemmings (level pack)
3D Lemmings: Loap (engine) | L3DEdit (level / graphics editor) | L3DUtils (replay / etc utility) | Lemmings Plus 3D (level pack)
Non-Lemmings: Commander Keen: Galaxy Reimagined (a Commander Keen fangame)
