NeoLemmix Main / Re: Having an issue with random music

Ooh thanks, I'll give that a try. I think its got to be an encoding issue with some of my files if noone else is experiencing any problems.

Its really strange, all of the files have been picked and played during a level at one point or another, so they are all named correctly. Also leaving them in set rotation order there seems to be no issue at all.

The only thing I can think of is maybe one of the files is corrupted and doesnt always load correctly. I think I'm going to try redownloading the music packs from the forum and try those as I think I'm still using files from waaay back when I was using Superlemmini.

Sure, I've attached the file below. Its basically just different versions of the lemmings tunes from different systems for a bit of variety.

All the music files are in either .it or .ogg format. Could it be anything to do with the different formats, or shouldn't that make any difference?

It's in the music.nxmi in my on level pack. I've left the file in the data folder is unmodified.

NeoLemmix Main / Having an issue with random music
August 21, 2024, 02:50:38 PM
Hi everyone, I've recently been getting back into Lemmings after a long break. I'm hoping someone can help as I'm having a small problem with Neolemmix.

Basically I like the tracks played randomly using RANDOM line in the music.nxmi file. This usually works fine, but every few levels no music plays, not even the fallback default music files. If I exit to the menu and load the level again it usually fixes the problem for another couple of levels. If I remove RANDOM and have them all play in order there doesn't seem to be any issue with any of the files.

It's not really a huge issue more of an inconvenience, but it happens on both the newest stable release and the last one. Anyone have any idea if I can fix the problem?

Lemmini / Re: SuperLemmini 0.90

Hi Tsyu,

I've started testing Superlemmini out for you, I'll let you know of any bugs I find.

Not sure why but I'm having to extract the files from winlemm everytime I start Superlemmini up though. I keep getting the message it is the first time I've started Superlemmini even though it isn't. Is this intentional or should it be a one-time only extraction?

Troddlers (Amiga, SNES, PC)

Good call! Troddlers was one of my favourite Amiga games back in the day, and was obviously inspired by Lemmings.

I still search google every now and again, hoping someone has made a remake or a level editor for one of the ports.

Wow just watched the replays, some of those solutions were insane!

Actually geoo I remember your level packs weren't much easier lol, I don't think I managed many of those either

Thanks geoo.

I used to consider myself quite a good lemmings player back in the days of owning an Amiga, but some of the levels I've tried in some of these level packs have made me think again lol. I knew this pack was insanely hard though as I havent had a clue with any of the levels since its release a few years back (probably as I'm not very good spotting where I could use glitches)

General Discussion / Re: Do you know this game?
February 20, 2008, 06:55:17 PM
Is it troddlers that you are describing?

You controlled a wizard who could pick up/place different blocks to guide the troddlers from an entrance to an exit. The troddlers looked like little men who blindly walked to their death if you let them similar to lemmings, but they could walk up walls and on the ceilings.

Fantastic game - I highly recommend everyone trying it out if you've never played it as lemmings was obviously the inspiration behind it. The Amiga version is much better than pc/snes versions. I would love to find a remake of it (with an editor of course  :winktounge:)

Will you be doing walkthroughs for the PSP/PS2 lemmings exclusive levels after 3D lemmings? All the original levels are there plus about 20 new levels exclusive for those two ports.

Lemmings Main / Re: Different version of amiga lemmings

Well thanks to Mindless, I've found these special levels - at least I know I didn't imagine it  :laugh:

Fun 22 'Go For It' instead of Beast of a Level

Tricky 14 'Lemming Lament' instead of Menacing

Taxing 15 'Its Not Over 'Til It's Over' instead of Awesome level

Mayhem 22 'Don't Make The Wrong Choice!' instead of BeastII

I think this was because it was on a single disk, so the extended graphics levels were changed to save space. The intro animation is missing too.

Help & Guides / Adding music to Lemmini
January 06, 2007, 09:56:19 PM
Help.

Is there any way to make Lemmini play wav files? I'm trying to add the music from the Sunsoft Special genesis level which I've ripped to wav format, but the game just won't play the music.

I've got it listed as one of the music files:
ie music_0  = tune1.mod
    music_1  = tune2.mod
    music_2  = tune3.mod
    music_3  = tune4.mod
    music_4  = tune5.mod
    music_5  = tune6.mod
    music_6  = sunsoft.wav
But nothing plays if a level has a music id of 6.

I've also tried converting the wav to a mod file using modplug, but it plays back really slowly in the game - does anyone have any idea why? (I've just checked and the converted file plays back slowly in modplug too)

Many thanks

I used to love that game - my second favourite on the amiga after lemmings.

I wish I could programme as I'd have a go at a remake if I could. I've been looking on the internet to see if anyone else has made a remake/editor but I've had no luck, guess it wasn't as well known as lemmings.
