Honestly thought that this was gonna be a Pink Floyd themed tile set, still looks great though.
Cheers! I only adapted the tileset from the Amiga version of Turrican II (the PC version, for instance is infinitely bland!!!), all props to those guys for making it.

Levels for v10 or older / Re: [NeoLemmix] Snack Pack
October 30, 2022, 06:17:55 PM
Nice, thanks, kaywhyn! Mostly backroutes or alternative solutions in your replays but was the case for everyone else here; this was my first pack after all.
Thanks for playing, feedback, and words of praise! Some of these levels were honestly more of something I had on my mind for a while and had to put down as Lemmings levels.
I've been thinking of doing a creator commentary on this, possibly also Assorted Gubbins, showing my intended solutions and other bits and bobs about the levels... Not sure when I'll get around to doing that, though.

@SQron
One of your attempts in your video made me find a bad backroute to my R2 which is now fixed with a steel block, so thanks for that! ;P

These videos of yours are fun to watch! You were very close with finding a backroute for my R3 level. I made some changes to it in V4 so this backroute is no longer possible. And well done finding a solution to my R2 level.

Thanks. Figuring out which areas are safe-to-enter for sliders & climbers, respectively, was satisfying

I hate sand
It was a small with very minimal skillsets but still end up being quite tricky! I enjoyed it a lot :laugh: I especially like the usage of the miner to release the bottom lemming while also chiping off the ceiling to release the top lemming :D

Thank you for the words of appreaciation, they are greatly appreciated! :D Yes, that was the intended trick of this level and its main idea.
This trick as well as the tileset's been on my mind for a while and I had to itch this scratch. ; )

BTW I really enjoyed your levels, especially the one where you shoot zombies, they're just beyond my solving skills! :#

PSA: part 3 of my solving attempts is on YouTube https://youtu.be/IuYqd2Tqik4

I like the fact that we all chose different styles for the L2-levels, by the way.
Yeah, I was actually meaning to use L2 Beach for some time myself.

my replays so far

I quite enjoyed most of the levels of this contest.

Thanks for the kind words, kaywhyn!

Oh, and I recorded myself playing these https://youtu.be/-A6phUtNrvo

Spoiler
Something that's been floating in my mind for the last few weeks, and that is for the start of 2022, I'm thinking of breaking the mold from all the LP videos of Lemmings level packs on my YT channel by doing a Q&A/AMA for my next video. You know, as a way for all of you to get to know me better. Would anyone be interested in such a video? If there is interest, I'm not sure how I will get question submissions from you users. One way I thought about is maybe making an announcement video and then you simply drop off a question(s) in the comments section. Another is, of course, doing a live video, but as I don't think many would be able to be present when it does go live, I likely won't do it this way. Or, I guess questions can either be dropped here in a post or PMed to me.

Another thing I would probably like to do is projecting the questions to be visible as well. I have absolutely no clue how to go about doing this, especially since I'm not really into video editing and all, as I'm so bad at it. Any suggestions for this are welcome.

An announcement video could be good since you've got your viewers on YouTube, including some of the LF people from here.

For horror games, exploring Alchemilla in Silent Hill 1 immediately comes to my mind:

There's also plenty of stuff in the FPS/horror game F.E.A.R. - 1st person view scariness, yay

For non-horror games, this astonishing turn in Turrican II...

...and just about every other mission I played in X-COM Terror from the Deep, and I've played loads...

The dropbox link to download this pack is unavailable. It reports it as an error. So I cant download this pack.

Cheers for the heads-up, mate! Just updated the link.
Enjoy the pack! I'll be making an update soon-ish, though. Stay tuned!  :)

Round 6:

Spoiler

1. Silent Hill 2 - Promised Mutilation (probably most of the tracks made for Silent Hill 1-4 games would qualify here)
2. Heroes Of Might And Magic III - Underground Theme (think of fairy tales)
3. Turrican 2 - The Final Fight (the soundtrack of this game was made in the TFMX Pro format which allows up 7 sound channels in a piece of tracker music, at a time when the standard was 4)

@Colorful Arty
3.2 I'd recommend Claw to you. It's a  platformer with beautiful, even mesmerising, 2D graphics (it is tough as nails, though!); the main character is voiced by Stephan Weyte (listen here) whose work was featured in several Humongous Entertainment games, and he did the famous voice of Caleb in Blood! The game itself can be downloaded here: https://captainclaw.net/en/downloads.html

4.1 You could say that! The actual game and Mr. Nutz are precious, though.

4.2 I think it'd be a challenge to find a weak track in the DKC2 OST!

@Turrican:
Spoiler

1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvmJZVtD1Rg - I knew I'd heard that somewhere already! Nice choice!
Here's a playlist of Tekken 3 moveset videos; these use music tracks that may be to your liking as well!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebybPbdXdZ4&list=PL0A9C60F2B123563B&index=5

Round 5:

Spoiler

1. Silent Hill - Esperándote (I know it's the same game as #2 here but it's a very very different track)
2. Silent Hill - Dark Again (there are sooo many I could pick for this... I chose this one because this one appears relatively early in the game and thus doesn't give too much away)
3. Turrican 2 - The Final Challenge (this one was an astonishment to me: plays right after a level with a sparse/creepy soundtrack, is so full of energy that it gives an adrenaline kick, and the composition of it as well as the samples used are perfect in my view)
