Lemmings Main / Lemmings DooM
September 07, 2024, 02:10:25 PM
i have a file on my computer i downloaded but i forgot where i got it from, the game is a DooM II Mod with lemmings, i cant find it anywhere on the internet, also i think its an unfinished one, because some of the enemies are not a lemming,
like the Mancubus, and i think the Baron of Hell? i really hope someone can find a finished version of it, and if there's not a finished one, then try to find multiple versions.

I would never use virtual machine with this. Virtual machine is a pc emulator and the dosbox included in this package is also a pc emulator. You're using an emulator inside an emulator. The included Dosbox here is trying to use your local pc sound and video options and you're only offering some emulated version of that.

The only thing I can think of is that it must be incompatible with your emulated video card or maybe your PC is not new enough for all this emulation.

These packages have been downloaded dozens of times and used by many many people with no issue, they are safe to use without virtual machine. And I'm sure there's a person or two here that can attest to this as I've been a member here for years.
it works now, i forgot to mention it was an online virtualbox, and online virtualboxes dont support emulators in it, thanks!

You don't need virtual machine for this. Just unzip, or unrar to a folder and click the bat file.
I made this myself, it's no virus. I made all these myself.

ctrl+f9 will get you back to desktop if you can't get out any other way.

This uses dosbox, but it's all set up to work automatically. You won't need to have any knowledge of dosbox to use this. And dosbox is of course an EXE file, so that is normal.
i tested it in a virtual machine, and when i open the .bat file its just the menu music and a blank screen, how do i fix this?

do i need dosbox?

It's not a virus or anything, if you dont believe me, then scan the file.

it works on windows 11, 10, and all windows computers, including windows xp.

it works without cd, because my friend tested it, and it works!

You don't need to know how to use dosbox for this. Just click the BAT file and the game will launch and everything is auto.

Hit ctrl-f9 to quick end the game if you need to quit faster than the game's exit method.

No knowledge of dosbox is necessary. I did this for lem1,2 3, and 3d as well.
also how do i unzip the file, because the file is a .rar file.

I think depending on your antivirus of choice, NL had been getting falsely red flagged for years. And probably has a lot to do with the "online features". But in general any non-well known program you download tends to get red flagged.

To answer your question; unless something *drastic* has changed in a recent update; no NeoLemmix is not a virus, we've all been using it for years now. ;)
i dont have a antivirus, its because im using my chromebook, and i dont currently have my computer right now..

I went ahead and took the risk. I installed it...

Now I have all these little green-haired critters running around on my screen.

It's gonna take some work to get rid of them.
on your real desktop screen?? or in the game?!
