NeoLemmix Levels / Holiday Lemmings 2024
December 01, 2024, 09:20:06 PM
Let's go! Holiday Lemmings 2024 is finally here! A 30 year anniversary NeoLemmix level pack in celebration of Holiday Lemmings 1994. This is a level pack that has been in development since summertime! Featuring 50 exciting, brand new levels, 25 of them per rank. The two ranks are: Night and Daytime. Meaning that Night is before Christmas (Christmas Eve) and Daytime is Christmas Day, and it goes on through until nighttime appears again with a boom! Actually, the ranks are interchangeable. They can be done in 'any' order of your choosing. The difficulty ranges! Be prepared for a roller-coaster ride! The level pack has been developed as a collaboration project by myself and Armani with the assistance of some wonderful people, credited below. It was an excellent experience!

I'd like to thank the following helpers for lending their time to pre-test the level pack and/or providing ideas, as well as assisting us while development was ongoing: kaywhyn, kevinmichael, Ritty, and Deedlebug. Most importantly, thank you for playing! It's hard to believe that when this level pack began, I was sitting in the air conditioning trying to cool down from the extreme heat. Now there is snow on the ground - just in time for release!

If you have any questions, comments, feedback, etc. this is the place. Or you may contact us on the Lemmings Forums Discord. Have a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year 2025! Thank you!

Howdy! Just a quick update. The level pack is nearly finished! There are only eight daytime, "Christmas Day" levels left to develop. I am preparing to move to a new location soon, so development has slowed down a little bit.

Basically, I want to know if anyone else is interested in contributing a nice, Christmas-themed level to the pack? Or a few if you'd like. It should be a daytime level. If you do, be sure to put your name in the pre-level screen as an author and also, you will be credited in the menu scrolling banner! Just send me a PM if you'd like to make a level for us. Simply a boost of assistance will help to get the pack rolling for playtesting quicker.

Perhaps you'd like to be a playtester? Simply let me know ASAP. Thanks, folks!

Howdy, everyone! Holiday Lemmings 2024 is still moving along nicely with development and everything. In fact, it's near completion already! Next will come quality checks, and finally, we will be needing some playtesters to help us out. Considering the great amount of time left before December 1st, release day, there will be a lot of time left to make everything perfect.

With your feedback in the near future after playtesting, we will make changes to our levels accordingly, and if accepted, and I will gladly add your name(s) to the credits! Hopefully that sounds good enough to help us out. We don't need a lot of playtesters and don't fret if I let you know what we have enough and I let you know.

Finally, if you already have in mind that you'd like to become a playtester for us, or perhaps you'd like to help in the future, feel free to send me, Mobiethian, a message - via private message, and we'll discuss it. The test version won't be released to the playtesters until sometime near the end of October or beginning of November the latest.

I'll be going to a very nice place in my own state of Pennsylvania called "Parker Dam" all of Sunday. It's a historic place, full of childhood memories and a very nice history museum.  :) A huge tornado went through there a long time ago and wiped almost everything out.

Development for Holiday Lemmings 2024 is on a short pause anyway (on my end). And I'll be picking back up with it this coming week.

Speaking of goings, I'm losing my house and am in the process of finding another one. Please keep me in your thoughts!  :( This is going to slow down all game development projects here.  :lemming:

I'll be working on this level pack again rather soon within the next week or so, making improvements, etc. The title screen/menu will still receive an overhaul. Reminder: A major backroute has been corrected in the first level in the pack - the Breezy rank. No more bashing straight across to the exit on the first try! Sorry! ;) "Steel Works", and it surely does! Also, arrows are often uncommon for me to use in my levels.

What I am curious about is - What other kinds of things would you like to see in this pack? Does it need more levels? Are there improvements that need to be made with the existing ones? Perhaps something slightly needs changed on a level or levels. I will see what I can do in regards to that. Feel free to let me know if something needs improvement.

Thank you to some of you for the excellent support, it makes me feel very pleased, happy most of all!  8-)

What is the highest row, fourth column from the left, to the left of the lemming with a number above his head supposed to be?

That particular lemming is actually a floater. kevinmichael didn't have the white and red colors at the time he made those. Thanks for asking!

Lemmings New Worlds is receiving a huge update soon. It has actually already been started. Beginning with a major backroute fix in Level 1: Golden Hills, video spoiler:

Spoiler

I plan to put in a nice, new skill bar and doing a full menu customization. Other things will be changed in the level pack as well. Don't worry, Holiday Lemmings 2024 is still in development, and it's going very smoothly. 8-)

All replays were watched and enjoyed, thank you for those! 8-) Now.. we have a talented artist out there "Hello Mojo" and she loves this level pack! So, she has designed some artwork for me recently for it and I'd like to show them to the community.

If you remember, she did the same thing for me for Lemmings Heritage, my first level pack. I really love these!

Tomorrow only, I'll be going further into the mountains of Pennsylvania to a camp that we have there situated near a creek. It's located in a beautiful, mountainous village called Hammersley Fork.

I was supposed to go on Saturday, but it is going to rain that day.

It's a wonderful review, kaywhyn! Thank you again! You've covered everything, I am very happy with it.

I'll be watching the LP videos next, and I definitely want to improve on this level pack as time goes on. For example, I want to take those sports items out of the air. ha And I want to add custom graphics in addition to the logo.

It's great that you've done this, I highly appreciate it! Take care, and we'll keep on chatting as usual and make some amazing new levels in the future. ;)

In Development / [NeoLemmix] Holiday Lemmings 2024
July 25, 2024, 12:21:39 PM
Ladies and Gentleman! For "Christmas in July" (today is July 25th, as you may know) it brings me great pleasure to announce a brand-new level pack that is on the way! A collaboration project currently in development with Armani! This is a Christmas level pack completely, and it's called "Holiday Lemmings 2024". Why, you might be wondering? Because this is going to be the 30th year anniversary level pack for Holiday Lemmings 1994!

There will be 50 levels total, and ranks are being sorted out while in-development. I want to proudly say that Armani is working with me equally on this level pack. Special thanks to kaywhyn for the support. Also, thank you to those who have developed NeoLemmix, including namida and Nepster, and especially you for playing. Obviously, NeoLemmix is what we'll be using to develop this level pack. It range from Easy to Hard in difficulty. The release date for it is set for December 1st.

Here are some screenshots of what you'll be getting into:

"Sky Castle" by Mobiethian

"Lems Are Playing Freeze Tag" by Armani

"Amphibious Operations" by Armani

"Your Gifts Are Over There" by Mobiethian

We hope that you'll enjoy this level pack when it's released! It can also be sort of an advent-type thing, so be sure to finish the night ranks by Christmas Day!

Question: So where's a demo of this? Answer: There isn't one being released, sorry. The full game will come out eventually. Don't fret! Merry Christmas in July!

It's too bad that mine still won't work. You're really good with this though! Excellent work there!

So, since we've discussed it before, here are are Lemmings CDs with the regular DOS versions on them. I don't remember how I got two of them, but only one fits in the CD case and they both have the same contents. No CD music.
