Bump

Has there been any progress since last year? Also, is the project going to be open-source with the code hosted anywhere publicly?

Loap / Re: Future of Loap

The out-of-bounds crash might be the biggest issue remaining right now, anyway, thank you for all the work on LOAP!
It's amazing to be able to play Lemmings 3D with such comfortable controls and see everything in high resolution. Never tried playing the original DOS version, because of the jank and difficult controls.

Huge leap in accessibility for a worthwhile continuation of the Lemmings formula, now if only there was a FULLY 3D level editor.....

Loap is running in whatever MonoGame does when you set an app in it to go fullscreen, which I presume is exclusive fullscreen. I should look into changing this to borderless window fullscreen.

Is it possible to fix this when in exclusive fullscreen?
Since having an option for both exclusive fullscreen and borderless in the .ini file) would be handy. If that's possible with MonoGame and is just a nice to have feature.

As the title says. The dialog window gets put behind the game window and causes it to become unresponsive. I assume the game is running exclusive fullscreen?

When holding shift and rotating with right-click, if you move the mouse fast and keep doing it for a while, normal right-click camera movement will be out of alignment. E.g. won't be able to move the camera up or it will spin right if you try and rotate any direction.

Holding middle-click to fly vertically, eventually leads to a crash.

Probably a good idea to add a vertical boundary to prevent crashing (if it can't be resolved or if it's a hard limit).

Loap / Mouse sensitivity

Rotation sensitivity can be changed, why not the mouse in general?

At the highest resolution and size for the mini-map on a 2560x1440p display, notice the edges of the main grass island in any normal grass/ocean level. The graphics are a bit off on the diagonal corners. More of a nitpick than anything.

Additionally levels take a noticeable amount longer to load when the mini-map is set to a high resolution.

I'm a bit confused, sometimes the lemmings not saved (in black I assume), don't show up, and other times do.

Loap / Camera rotating issues when toggling options
October 28, 2023, 01:33:59 AM
Since 0.26, the camera spins around erratically when trying to rotate with right-click after toggling confine to window.
And then the camera won't move when toggling lock while rotating while in-game. I also have vsync enabled.

Only real solution after toggling the options enough times, is to delete Loap.ini. Not sure why, and if this is a fullscreen related issue.

Using a RTX 3060 Ti, with latest commit/build on Windows 10.

Closed Loap Bugs / Suggestions / Not High-DPI aware

Have to override high DPI scaling behaviour performed by application in order for game to render at monitor's native resolution.
I have 125% set for windows scaling and use a 1440p monitor.

As stated. Windowed mode the game lets you scroll.

Setting WINDOW_HEIGHT to more than 900 (approx) will prevent the scrollbar from appearing. Width doesn't affect the behaviour.
