Lix Levels / Re: Lix Community Level Set
March 03, 2012, 08:43:25 PM
Been quite a long time since I last showed up around here. So looks like I've now got a nice reason to remake and release "The Journey through the Solar System" level pack. For those who haven't seen it, it's basically a group of levels named after the major planetary bodies in the Solar System. Mercury through Neptune, plus the Moon, Pluto, and a Pluto Extended, of sorts.

Lemmings Main / Re: Misrated Levels?

If all versions of the Crossroads were 100%, I'd say it would definitely be Mayhem; but unfortunately, I've really only seen 80% ones out there, which makes it extremely easy for Mayhem.

Lemmings Main / Misrated Levels?

I don't think there's a thread like this already, but do you think there's any levels in any of the lemmings games that are in the wrong category? I think a few are:

The Crossroads - Mayhem -> Late Tricky
I Have a Cunning Plan - Tricky -> Taxing
Livin' On the Edge - Taxing -> Tricky

Wow, I never realized that there were only 9 levels that utilized the Crystal set... Darn shame, because that was my 2nd favorite set next to Hell.

I'd be willing to do if it if I knew how.

Well, the LemmixPlayer that is included with the LPDOS project uses different music files rather than the MODs. It doesn't work if I try to use the regular Lemmix Player in the same directory as the LPP directory.

Sorry to tread into old waters, but is there ANY way whatsoever to edit the Lemmix Player to play the Amiga MOD music instead of the chintzy MIDIs?

Lemmings Main / Re: Top 5, Bottom 5

I guess my favorites are the really short and tough ones, huh? (I'm sure a sexual innuendo is in there somewhere, but I won't point it out for obvious reasons.)

Shoot, I'm not that good of a player, but I'd say this:

TOP 5:

1. Heaven Can Wait (We Hope!!!) (Must be the Christianity that comes out in me.)
2. Poles Apart (Not really backroutable, at least from my perspective.)
3. The Crankshaft (As someone said earlier, the lack of bashers makes the level more interesting)
4. It's Hero Time! (One of everything, pretty tough and pretty fun!)
5. Feel the Heat (Short and simple, not a build-a-thon)

BOTTOM 5:

5. Walk the Web Rope (Long and tedious)
4. The Ascending Pillar Scenario (Long and tedious again...)
3. Hunt the Nessy (Long and tedious AGAIN!)
2. All or Nothing (If you know the trick, or have one of those newer versions, this level's a dud.)
1. Tightrope City (Just BLAND and boring.)

Level Design / Re: Lemmings projects

Well, I am working on a pack of 10 levels, they're all named after the planets in some retrospect; unfortunately, I have trouble thinking of a name for the pack itself. Maybe "CynicalOkie's Planetary Tour?" Before anyone says, "B-b-but CO, there's only eight planets?" The last two will represent Pluto and the demotion to a dwarf planet. (Slight repeat level, but MUCH harder.)
