You should install DOSbox -> http://www.dosbox.com/  it simulates an old PC and has no problems running Lemmings 3.

To make life easier, you can use a graphical interface. I like DOSBox Game Launcher very much -> http://home.quicknet.nl/qn/prive/blankendaalr/dbgl/

When you download that one, it has DOSBox included. -> http://home.quicknet.nl/qn/prive/blankendaalr/dbgl/download/dbgl060.zip

Also download this update and place it in the corresponding folder, overwriting the old files. -> http://home.quicknet.nl/qn/prive/blankendaalr/dbgl/download/jar062.zip

Good luck

PS: Place DOSBox Game Launcher in the root of your harddisk so it's foldername has no spaces and the path to it is very short. This prevents shortcuts to the games from breaking. Also, it can happen some errors appear concerning configurationsaving, to fix this, a config folder (I don't remember the correct name) must be made.

If he's trying to play it in Windows 95, his computer is probably not powerful enough to emulate via DOSBox.

Have you tried exiting to MS-DOS mode and running it from the command prompt?  Back in the days when I used Windows 98, that solved many of my problems.

Well, I guess if you want to edit Lemmings Chronicles levels, this indicates that you might soon be able to do so...

Which pushes me to continue working on a level editor for Lemmings 2...just have to overcome that GLUT is C-based and thus does not go so well with object oriented programming...

strange, it works in Wine here, but you didn't read the readme, there's a Linux binary included ;)

edit: also, minor update to the editor (still no saving)

You are right, I neglected to read the readme .... it probably failed because I didn't have the binaries.
