So most people know this already, but the 4th rank in Lemmings Cranium (https://www.lemmingsforums.net/index.php?topic=6303), named "Challenge", are 30 levels that are purely subsets of levels from Amiga Lemmings, Oh No! More Lemmings and Genesis/MegaDrive Lemmings. Some of these challenges are rather specific with their limited toolsets, but it could be a good test to see how much you can minimise the skill usage and, in some cases, maximise the lemmings saved.
So if you're looking for 30 unique challenges based on the original game, that rank is for you!
you spyecificly mentioned minimum skill usage and max lemmings saved. you could make a list like we have for snes max points where it shows the amount of skill needed for each level and how many lemmings can be saved. i think i'd be cool to have a list like that
Most are just very particular puzzles, but here are some examples:
- Challenge 14: "Now use miners and climbers" - Tricky 30: "The Crankshaft" but saving 100% with only 10 Climbers and 10 Miners.
- Challenge 21: "The Expanse" - Mayhem 17: "Stepping stones" but saving 100% and only 5 Builders, forcing you to not only go over the top but to be very efficient about it.
- Challenge 22: "Senseless Sacrifice" - Tricky 22: "From the boundary line" but challenges you to save 95/100, and a gold talisman if you get 99/100.
- Challenge 26: "Where angels fear to tread" - Tricky 16: "Mary Poppins' Land" but saving 100%.
- Challenge 27: "Hell's Kitchen" - Mayhem 15: "The fast food kitchen" but saving 100% with only 5 of each tool.
- Challenge 28: "How low can you go?" - Tricky 18: "It's Lemmingentry, Watson" without the Bomber.
- Challenge 29: "Christmas Rush" - Havoc 4: "The race against cliches" without the Digger.
- Challenge 30: "Tribute to the Master" - Taxing 17: "Tribute to M.C.Escher" with only the Floater and the Builders.
