Title: Lemmings Heaven Back Online
Post by: loftyD on September 20, 2013, 03:59:23 PM
Hi guys

Just a quicky really, that the Lemmings Heaven website is now back online. I had shut down the website as there was a massive spammer problem with the forums and it was frankly unbearable.

http://www.lemmingsheaven.info

See you there!

I remember being in that forum, trying to figure out how to get Lemmix working. This was before that download, that comes with everything. I have joined.

Hi Luis

Thanks for joining (again!). I don't know if you remember when the spam became a problem on the forum, but yeah, if you have any problems with Lemmix or Lemmini , just give me a shout :)

I have seen the spams. They were full of huge wall of text, everywhere. Good thing it's gone and another Lemmings forum is back.

Hmm, any chance you may be able to help out namida with his sound issue in Lemmini?

Hi lofty

I wondering if it's okay for me to upload my custem levels I have made on the other site to your one as well?  There was one problem when I clicked the upload button which it didn't seem to work.

(Thanks in advance)

I remember downloading a lot of the level packs from lemmingsheaven quite good as I think it was your website I tried the dovelems from at first.

Hi Lofty

It seems to work fine now thanks although it might of been something that was up with my computer.

My level pack is called 10 levels with a twist on your website and grams88 (2) on mindlesses website.  I thought it would be a good idea to spread the levels around so to say.

Hiya

That's a relief!

Good idea to share the levels around.

just an update. I have added limited support for BBCode.

I can add more bbcode tags in the future.

I would honestly question whether there's a need for two forums for such a small community. This one seems to be spam-free, fancier and more active; wouldn't it make more sense to just direct your viewer's here and focus on the other parts of your website?

Namida

If you could recall when the times where the forum was extremely active, only that when the spam came in, I had to do something about it and change it other to different forum software since SMF is actually rubbish at its job.

The website and forum have been around since 2008 so I have no intention of deleting it just yet. Surely two communities are better?

Anyway Lemmings Heaven is more level design focused and that's why the forum was there in the first place. :)

It seems the login button works now, but I forgot my password and can't reset it.
