Title: A quick question about Lemmings 2
Post by: DragonsLover on November 30, 2009, 07:58:13 PM
In "Lemmings 2 : The Tribes", in the Highland tribe, the exit is represented by the classical "Red telephone box". When a Lemming exits the level through it, you can see it swaying a bit and fall back inside the telephone box. I was wondering, what's the signification of that if there are any?

I heard that supposedly the Highland Tribe is all about some British stereotype of Scottish people or something like that, hence the red hair etc.  The exit animation is meant to show drunken lemmings.

Yes, the Highland tribe refers to the Scots, and according to the stereotype, a Scotsman loves his drink. They also love fighting, but.. err..

Oh, and because the development team was based in Scotland, they were in a better position to get away with that sort of thing. ;)
