Title: What is a "Hidden User"?
Post by: Dullstar on August 10, 2009, 06:52:02 PM
I've seen this around but have no idea what it means.

Sorry 'bout the size.  :P

I'll try and get a smaller shot (without Zoom Desktop?)

Got a smaller one!

Under account settings you have the option to conceal your online status. Its mostly for ninjas, lurkers, and the anti-social though  :P

I can explain better than that. ;P It's a user who's logged in but is looking at something other than the lemmings forums.

No, it's not. It's someone who chooses to hide their online status, as Yawg said. Someone who's logged in but not on the forums will not show up in the list at all.

That answers that, I suppose.

I am wondering where you can find the option to become a "Hidden User" then.

Who cares?  I don't want to hide my online status.  I would like to hide my post count, though.  Too bad the forum software use doesn't have a package for that.  If anyone knows how to give people the option of hiding their post count in SMF, I'd love to know!
