As a member of the other lemmings forum run by LoftyD, I came across a new member that has been completely spamming out the forums with useless junk. His/her name is Lolly_Sweenybb864 and I wanted to give you guys a heads up so you can be prepared in case he tries to tackle these forums. In case you are wondering, this spammer has been getting into other forums as well when I searched for his name on google.

Dont let this guy ruin our forum if he tries to get into this one!

Whoa.  That spambot (because it's not a person, it's definitely a bot) is impressive.  I very rarely see one that posts more than once at a single forum, but it's up to over 700 over there in the course of 2 days?  That thing is persistent.

I will definitely be on the lookout.  I've also set a block on that specific user name, so that might throw it off.

PS. Is lofty still managing the place?  It looks like he isn't as nothing of the bot's has been removed...

Nothing has been going on in that forum in last few months, if that is what you mean. Im sure he still checks it out now and then though but obviously hasnt been online since the spammer joined. I have him on my MSN friends list for when I see him again and ill tell him about it.

Wonder who makes these bots to annoy the hell out of everyone...

First off, Dullstar, I hope you're not stupid enough to try submitting this to Slashdot.  This is non-news.  This has been going on at forums for years and years.

Secondly, you don't need a description of what it's going to post.  You will know when it strikes, because the content of the posts is PAINFULLY obvious.  (And will probably ruin your mind)

I did click the link but all I can see is nothing . It's not porn spam on my server.

Interesting choice of topic to post this in... you could try contacting him via YouTube to tell him about these forums.

I once asked him about the reason why he doesnt use these forums. I believe he said that he has some sort of grudge against Mr K and doesnt come to these places anymore. Probably why he made his own lemmings forum site.

I dont exactly remember what he said. My only memory is that there is something between you and him. I dont know what it is or how bad it is, but whatever it is it caused him to make his own new forum, so yea

Well, we have another spambot desperate to sell World of Warcraft and Aion gold to us Lemmings players, and it's name is yoyohh. I can't say if it's going to get anywhere here, but there you go. Oh, and don't click on its links. It might be bad for your computer's health... and yours if you let it get to you.

Okay, cleaned up.  Jeez, of course they had to hit RIGHT after I went to bed, otherwise I would have gotten them a lot quicker.  Looks as if somebody has some beef with us and/or just wants to troll.

Update:  It seems I won't be getting a break any time soon, as more ugly posts are showing up.  I apologize about this, and I hope nobody is getting too horribly scarred.  I'm watching for them, and if you see them just keep sending me mod reports.  I'm clearing them out as fast as I see them.

If you must know, it's basically pictures (as in drawn like comics, not photos) of lemmings (as in game character and not the real animal) porn.  The IRC logs probably have more details on the incident.

Frankly, I'm far more curious whether the pictures were merely copied from pre-existing pictures out on the Internet, or whether the human spammer actually took the sad effort to create the pictures himself.

Right guys, after being unwell again for a long period - lengthy hospital stays, etc, I've been given the all-clear yet again this week. I'm trying to build my life back together, but I'm going to get back on top with moderating here.

I talked to Mr K via PM, and I guess it couldn't hurt making one of the regulars a mod. Perhaps someone from a different time zone than you and Mr K (EDIT: oh wait, I thought for a moment Mr K was from the UK, but I think you're from the US?) for cases like this, like, say, Clam (who's basically on the other end of the world).

I'm reluctant to put myself forward for mod, since many others have been around longer than me and done more for the game. And also because I mentioned it on the IRC once which means I "haven't truly truly earned it" (quote from Simon). On the other hand, there aren't many others on here between about 0600-1000 UCT.

Some of them were dated 11 or 12, so I doubt any of it was fresh material just for us . It's merely Rule 34 in action (don't Google Image that please)
